I saw the Pioneer 12x12 3 ring binder that has the D ring that is 1.5 inches and holds more pages at Joanne's.

It is the same price as We R MK ones.

I was wondering if it is a good quality.

Pioneer makes really good quality albums. I have several of the post bounds. The thing you need to watch for is size. I bought some of their d-ring binders a few years ago and my page protectors are longer than the album, ie they stick out of the end of the book when you close it. (the right size, not the top/bottom)

Based on the sku number, I have this one in brown. I like it. Younger DS flips through it on a daily basis and it is holding up very well. I use Thickers, buttons, flair and such on my PL pages and am still going to be able to fit an entire year in one album. It's actually 2.5 inches.

I agree on the page protector issue. I started the year using page protectors from Hobby Lobby (I think they were Pebbles brand). When the book is closed, they go right to the edge of it. In the spring I switched to BH page protectors and they are smaller. Both fit completely inside the album, though.

I have this album in black and very satisfied with how many pages you can fit into this alum. It's huge and I love that, but I choose to use WeR albums for my children's year albums and I plan on buying the Pioneer for my family album. Last night I put together a old Becky Higgins Sweet Baby kit and needed a place to store it and I first placed in the WeR album and it was way to small especially since I wasn't done adding embelishments and such. I then switched it over to the pioneer today and love how it all fits and I still have way more room. I actually for the moment was storing all my different page protectors in it and didn't see a problem with them fitting. I have CTMH, WeR, Becky Higgins, and some old hobby lobby ones. I think I even have a few OLD hallmark ones that a little snug but fit.

It's a great buy and you'll fit plenty in it. Got mine at Joann's for 50% off in store. It was $19.99 but then you take 50% off so it was a steal. Still love my WeR albums, but this is a close second.

If you don't mind color choices of only red, black or brown, you'll like the Pioneer albums. They are the only albums I buy anymore. They hold so much more than any other album and they have held up wonderfully. I haven't noticed a problem with the page protectors. I normally buy the AC ones from M's or HL. And for the J's coupon price, the albums can't be beat!

I do wish they would come in the pretty colors that the WRMK do, but I'll deal with it. I guess.

I buy them from ArchivalUSA. Love love them. Not the one you pictured however. I get the Italian leather black ones with the word "Memories" imprinted in silver on the front.
