So ladies...
If you're making a December Daily this year... how's it going? Have you started putting it together? Are you planning your pages ahead of time? Pre-assembling?
How's it going? |

Take out the word "daily" and I'm there! ROFL!
I have assembled a bunch of Christmas stuff from my stash, and hope to document a few moments each week, but I think I'm going to do this more like project life, with divided page protectors. Still sorting this out in my head. It could change. |

I have my album, I have my supplies, this weekend I'm going to do the cover. Not sure I'm going to preassemble though. I may just do the pages as I feel like it since I'm only doing the 4 X 6 album. |

I was finally able to order my paper yesterday and need to decide on/pick up the actual album. I think I'm going to go with a Sn@p album.
SO excited to get started. |

I'm waiting for my 2 Peas order to arrive and I've narrowed my album down to 3 possible choices. I'm headed out of town next week for Thanksgiving holidays, so the actual construction will have to wait . Maybe I can make up my mind by then |

I have a box of silver and gold stuff sitting here. I still need to order a few things. I still have not decided what type of album or size I will do.
I won't premake the album or preplan pages. If I am going to be completely honest, I likely won't make the album at all! I will just collect stuff, take photos, and imagine how great the album would be if I actually put it together.

To those that preassemble your pages...
Do you use one color scheme throughout?
I'm particular about matching my photos and paper, how do you get around that ?

Easy peasy, just make sure you dress everyone each day according to the book.

I have ordered everything and I am really hoping it makes it through Canada Customs by Dec 1. I am using the red SN@P binder & protectors and Kelly Purkey's DD kit. I am also doing mine more of a Christmas journal than an every day thing, I have PL for the every day and I can't do both every day, I have to work and eat and take care of the kiddo |

i think i'll do this in 8 by 8 form. one for each of my girls. what a great way to document their daily doings for the month of december... perhaps even save putting up the tree for december 1, and do a holiday activity with each of them each day so i have 31 to document. such a cute idea! |

I just got my supplies in the mail today - Snap binder, extra page protectors, Studio Calico paper pad and some washi tape. It's all so cute that I feel fired up to start. I don't typically do foundation pages though. I do mostly digi with some embellishments so I do (and plan what I don't do) it in December, then print and assemble it all in January. |

I have my cover done, my layered numbers done and have placed journaling cards in the book. I want to do some more base page work...maybe this weekend. But other than that I don't wanna do too much ahead of time because I know I will change my mind as I actually fill it.
You should check out AE's DD stuff on Designer Digitals...I think her 30% sale ends today and the journaling cards she developed are AWESOME!!!!! and she didn't put the year on them, so you can use them for future years too. I printed mine on shimmer cardstock at home and they are too adorable.
I am using a SS stories binder too and a lot of SS handmade holiday as well as a GIGANTIC pile of other stuff. I seriously can't stop buying holiday supplies!! Can't wait for December to actually start. |

I'm using the red Doodlebug 8x8 album for mine this year. Not planning on decorating the outside (I like the clean lines of the plain red binder) except I did create a title card thing for the spine). I'm not doing any of my pages ahead of time (I did that last year and wished I hadn't - I seem to do better creating each pasge as I go depending on my photos & the story I'm trying to tell).
I didn't buy too much extra product this year - NEED TO GET THAT STASH USED UP!!! I did buy some bits & pieces from both Simple Stories & Teresa Collin's Christmas lines though!
My December daily tends to start mid-November and goes through Christmas Day. This year I started LAST WEEKEND! Only because the city where I live does an annual Christmas Tour of Homes and we always go. The tour was earlier than usual this year - last Sat/Sun. So, I have the first page in this year's album!! Next one will likely be next week as we have 2 birthdays & an anniversary to celebrate.
I find starting my DD really gets my Christmas mojo going!! |

I am using a small binder from Staples. I think it is similar to the Sn@p albums but looks like an office binder. I've already started the pages. I've taken allllll of my leftover Christmas papers and kits and whatever and I'm assembling a page or two at a time. I am not putting any numbers on them until I take the photos.
Pre-assembling the pages is actually getting me excited to do the project and I'm pretty sure I'll keep up with now that I've started it! |

I'm using the Studio Calico kit and album (4x6) but I have a red Snap album set aside in case I don't like the 4x6 size. I can't premake pages either, my photos and papers have to match, so I won't put mine together until after I print the photos. But I've got all my supplies together and I can't wait to get started. | |

This is my first year doing a DD and I'm so excited! I found an awesome YouTube video where the lady made an album out of file folders, so I've decided to try that one. It's going well so far, but it's taking forever - it's a 6 part series, with each video being at least half an hour.
The design incorporates the design if the base pages, too. So, once I finish the series, all I'll have to do is put the pictures and journaling in. Hopefully I'll be done before Dec. 1st. |

This year there is alot planned. I am going to on vacay for a week to WDW to see the MOUSE, things planned with the granddaughters, the daughters, a Christmas play at a neighborhood church, Christmas play at my church, work, Christmas shopping, decorating, FOOD, you name it.
I want to capture it all but who knows....
I have bought 2 kits and I have a stash..So my plan is to journal and take pics everyday and put it all together in January when things slow down...

I've got my base pages started and have an all-around plan of attack floating up there in my mind somewhere. I'm off all next week so I have 3 days left of my 2011 DD to finish up and then I'll be getting this one underway. I'm seriously considering starting the day after Thanksgiving since that's when we start decorating, but that extra week may be way too much for me. |

We are starting Elf on the Shelf here in December and I'm excited to include the start of a tradition, my boys' reactions and his antics in this album. |
