What is the best white paint for misting and splattering?

I am starting to really get into misting and splattering my layouts, but I only have a few bottles, what is the best white one to get? What are your favorite colors and brands? Also where do you buy them at? Thanks

Gesso works amazing! You can mix with a little water to thin it out if you want but not needed.

I haven't really had much luck with any of the white mists I've tried. For splattering I like plain old acrylic paint.

Gesso is next on my list to try.
