Good morning, PEAps!

I have a long TO DO list today, including some crafty things! I'll be in and out, working on those placecards I didn't finish last week and maybe hoping for a little scrap crafty fun, too.

Who's with me? Anyone getting their scrap on today?

Penny

He did all my grocery shopping and house cleaning while he was on vaca this week, so other than cooking, I'm ready for the holiday! Sa-WEEEEEETTTTTTT !

Good morning! Penny - I'd love to see your place cards, please share with us.

I started my December album last night. The cover is done (I think) so the rest should be easy! After much deliberation, I finally decided to go with the Simple Stories 6X8 album. I think I'm going to love it!

Silver Dollar City sounds like a fun place - enjoy!

Awww, Wendy, enjoy the little on! I encourage all you moms of young 'uns to just lap it up and love on 'em.

Scoobers - that is really sickening. As good as my DH is, this is the time of year I *suffer*. After all, I had to make my own coffee today. How fun to have a clean house and a spiffy car. You better get your scrap on - no excuses now, hear?

Sherry, I need y'all to show ME your DD's! I am definitely having withdrawal! And, I have in front of me the OA Make it Merry, which I discovered on my porch this AM. {What a perfect start to the day!}

I will try to share my place cards - they are more of the same ones I made last year. That's what happens when you rotate families.

Seasonscraps, why not play I LIKE TO MOVE IT, MOVE IT to get you going?

Scraphop, have fun! We haven't been in years and hope to go before Christmas this year!

We are off to the grocery store and a few other places along the way to get things for Thanksgiving and the rest of the week. I would much rather be scrapping! Then it is time to clean for the out of town guests. It is going to be a busy week at this "bed and breakfast...and lunch and dinner". I am going to live vicariously through some of you today!

Hi, Penny so good to see you!!!!

so wish i could right now but darn it have to wait for bf to wake up from his morning nap--he was up early at 3am

I have a to do list I want to accomplish today in scrap room as well.

I was able to get in the other room where I'm storing all my scrappy stuffs.. I'm still working on my organize your stuff challenge which seem to stall right now. I think with changes on board, plus with all the holidays things may have gotten busy.. hopefully in Janurary it will pick up... Anyhow, I was sorting things by like and hoping then it will be easier time to organize when time come...

I'm almost finish with my 2010 DD--I'm in process of putting my 2012 Dec Daily together...

I also have couple Christmas layouts I want to put together and finishes... I'm using Alison's sketches. Her sketches are time savers for me. I just love it. I don't even measure anymore I just cut and go... lol

Sounds like everyone is having such grand plans. I would dearly love to scrap Christmas. Maybe I can do that the first weekend after Thanksgiving. I hope, I hope. I can never really get into scrapping it in the heat.

It is just so beautiful here. Loving this fall weather. The red maple in my front yard is nearing its peak. And, I'll confess, I do have Christmas music playing. I think my heart needed perking up today.

Learnin2Scrap, that sounds horrifying! I mean the Cameo blade, not having to feed your kids breakfast. I'm glad the crisis was resolved.

***Scoobers....your DH is awesome!

Penny....your Thanksgiving thread has me wondering where my last year's pics are. I don't think I have them printed!

I may be giving into the December not-so-daily album idea. I have so much product (and ordered MORE!) that I need to do something with it!

I just saw this SS Snap binder DD in the gallery. It's amazing!

Count me in! I'm nearing the end of "The Week of Debbie," a little personal retreat I planned for months and had dreamed of doing for years. I'm in Branson in a cozy little cabin, and I brought enough scrapbooking projects for probably a year! I seriously miscalculated my scrapbooking speed!

I've done lots and lots of double-page layouts to get caught up on birthdays and the like. Today and tomorrow, I'm going to experiment with some "fancy" one-page layouts!

Debbie

(scraphop, don't know when you'll be at SG, but I'll probably be there at 2 or later. Maybe I'll see you!)

Good Afternoon Everyone...

Debbie...that sounds like a dream vacation!!!!
I'm not scrapping....but I'm doing my first little crafty gifts of the season. We are celebrating Thanksgiving/Birthdays with my mom's family.
all 5 of her brothers and sisters are in town...and my mom and 2 of her sisters all have birthdays withing the next 2 weeks!!!

Should be lots of fun. If my gifts turn out halfway decent I will post a pic....keeing my fingers crossed.

BTW....is shopping traffic crazy where any of you live. I don't know if it's just the Canadian traffic we get in my town....but I went to run a few errands today...one to Kohls to get some picture frames....but the line went around the store so I just walked out...it was like Black Friday in there. A woman at the checkout in AC Moore which is right next door said she waited close to an hour to checkout...and they had all the registers going. Yesterday I went grocery shopping at Walmart...and it was packed at 3:30 in the afternoon!!!!

Anyways....have a great day everyone!!!

It is a dream vacation! No one to please but myself! I'm scrapbooking to an NYPD Blue marathon -- so far I've watched seasons 6, 7, 8, and I'm started on season 9!

Penny -- I'm using that MS border punch I admired your use of at the retreat. It's gorgeous -- so glad I saw what you had done. I would never have imagined it would be so pretty just by looking at the pattern on the punch.

Scoobers -- I won't need to pack for an upcoming retreat because I planned WAY too much for this week and I'll have lots left over all ready to grab!

Debbie, that retreat sounds amazing! I've always thought it would be fun to get a hotel room for a few days and just scrap, read, whatever I feel like without cleaning, cooking, or other people's needs to worry about.

Sherry, I love the non-traditional color scheme of your album cover. It looks very fresh!

DebInMaine- I haven't done any shopping today, but I was just in a retail area of my town and it seemed like there were way more cars than usual. I bet people are running around doing errands before Thanksgiving.

I got my new box of supplies. Nothing super exciting because I mostly needed to restock on some basics and get a couple more albums, but I'm planning to do some scrapbooking after dinner. Just met a friend to study and we were super productive, so now I can scrap guilt-free!

Debbie, that sounds amazing! Way to go - no one takes care of us, but ourself, right? One year on election day, I checked into a hotel and journaled non-stop with the election results coming in. My guy won that year, so it was fun. The boys were little and I needed a break. I took candles, too, and I still remember our "picnic dinner" on the bed when the 3 of them brought me dinner and came to see me.

Yes, DebinMaine - I had to run out to pick up some lamps and traffic was crazy everywhere. And it made me very sad that the holiday hustle bustle has already arrived!

Cute album cover, Sherry!

I need to put the clean sheets on the guest bed for the in-law's Tuesday arrival and run the vacuum tonight and then my clean up is done until Monday night. We have 3 couples coming over for dinner tonight and just let me say this - never say YES to your sons on getting cats!

My DH & I went & did the grocery shopping last night to get it out of the way and the store was packed.

I made a stop at SG today to pick up a kit and got signed up for December Super Saver! I need to find photos for the LO I picked up. I have a scrapbook meetup on Monday night and hope to put it together then.

I took my 3 furbabies - a pug named Phoebe and my 2 cats, Pandora and Felix, to see Santa! That was a workout but the pictures will be worth it!!

I do want to use my Cameo today to make a popcorn box for my Dad's b-day. He loves popcorn and I got him organic popcorn kernels. He will love it!

Spent the day at Scouting for Food got some good pictures and had fun watching the scouts I have seen grow into young men.

All this talk of Branson makes me think I should take DH up on his offer to try and get there for a weekend before Christmas. We had thought about it since my birthday is December 5th but I honestly do not know when we will fit it in.

I went over materials from the Cluster Embellishing class I got on sale this week at BPC and embellished layouts that I did last weekend. They were naked due to being frozen on just how to create and place those much needed clusters.

Four pages embellished and ready to start something new. I see a late night ahead for me now that my mojo is flowing.

It's been such fun reading everyone's posts. I must admit I am jealous!

We just got back in the country and only have two days at home before we drive north to IA for Thanksgiving with DH's family. I wanted to give my stepdaughter her finished wedding album when we see her then, but I didn't get to work on it since we made the last-minute trip overseas. It will have to wait until we get back and before we head to CA for the Xmas holiday with my family.

I do plan to make a few birthday cards (both DH and one of our DGDs have a birthday this month) to take with me to IA. I should probably make a nice thank you card for my DH's aunt since she's hosting all of us!

Have a great time scrapping everyone!

well...my day yesterday was a bust. I made handmade birthday cards for my aunts and mom...and my aunts I framed a cute little chritmas tree subway art that I had printed out. No reaction whatsoever from any of them....not that I need praise or acknowledgement. I had fun doing it and didn't have to spend a lot of money. Just kind of burst my bubble a little. Top that off with a huge feud now going on between my parents and sister and her husband...sigh..happy holidays!

Hopefully today will be a better day. Going to start it off w/ some cleaning and then hopefully end with me playing in my scrappy room. Stampin up is having an online sale starting tomorrow...so I'm going to make a list and do some retail therapy!!!

The weather in Branson is perfect this weekend! We try to come every year during the Christmas season.

Still not sure about the sidetrip to SG but Debbie I will certainly ask if you are in.

Sounds good!

I sometimes can't believe what a slow scrapper I am. It took me all day to make three one-page layouts! But it was lots of fun and I plan to do more today.

This is my last day before I go back to the real world. The solitude has been really good for me. I've had the most awesome crafty time!

Debbie
