I haven't downloaded many shapes from the silhouette store. Since they are 50% off on Black Friday, I thought I'd ask what are your must haves???

I like basics, like the months of the year, days of the week, basic shapes, etc. |

For me, it would be boxes, bags and containers. Or anything by Lori Whitlock. And I also like cards. Especially ones that come in pieces so I can use the parts separately |

I like things I can't recreate easily on my own or find cheap or for free elsewhere. So bags, boxes, cards with pop-up designs or interactive elements, titles that combine fonts, etc. |

I also like cut files that coordinate with existing product. Echo Park and Hero Arts both have shapes. |

Also, there's some complete layout kits that are nice because they contain multiple shapes, so they're really versatile.
Oy. This sale is going to do me in! |

I like to get borders, nesting shapes, and little do dads like tabs, labels, etc.
My wish list is a feather, an oak leaf and and the nested pinked edge circles.

Really depends on what YOU like. For me,I'm a sucker for the backgrounds, borders and words! When I had the Premium subscription, it was great because I downloaded pretty much everything I liked. When I upgraded, I thought I'd only have a need for the Deluxe subscription so my wishlish seems to be getting rather large! I have about $60 in credits that I'll be putting to good use on Friday! |

Re: nested shapes.
What is the point of these? Can't you resize any shape you want to any size you want? Maybe someone can explain. I feel like I'm missing some cool thing!

Yeah, I never understood the allure of nested shape sets on there. You can do internal and external offsets, and resize to your heart's content... Just didn't make sense to me. |

Nested shapes, Yes you can size them any size so you DON'T need nested.

i love Lori Whitlock and Echo Park i'm still using my old silhouette - so those with 'color' options don't really interest me - but i think i have about 60+ on my 'wish list' right now - waiting for Friday |

What do you mean "color" options? You can still do print and cut with the old one, i think. None of the silhouette machines, old or new, actually print. You have to print on your own color printer, then run it through the machine and it will cut it out, using registration marks. I have an SD and I'm pretty sure it can do that--I just don't have a color printer so I don't bother. |
