AHHH!
I was trying to cut something with my original Cricut and was having a hard time. My mom looked up and said "what do you want for Christmas? I replied without even thinking "A Cameo"
I really didn't want one but it sounded like such a great idea. I ordered it and it and now am freaking out a little..
Ahh well, I love my Cricut. Especially my Imagine. I will just fit my Cameo in my little family and craft more often!
Anyone order something and freak out a bit after? |

You won't regret it. I owned every Cricut they had until I got my Cameo a little over a year ago. I LOVE IT! I despise the Cricut! I actually get mad when people ask if I use a Cricut. Hahah |

I think you will love it! I've had several friends that have switched and haven't looked back. They say it cuts way better.
I'm totally jealous and would love one! For now, I'm still using my Cricut and hoping my SCAL program does not stop working!
Enjoy our new toy! |

Yes, I too put the Cameo on my Christmas list and then almost immediately regretted it. But since I'm 99% sure that is what was in the box delivered by UPS a few days ago, I have embraced the idea and even started collecting files for it! |

Once you get your hands on that Cameo, your Cricut is going to become a paper weight over in a dusty corner in your scraproom. |

I'm new to the forums here, but have been lurking and buying from Two Peas for quite a while. I had to comment. I got my Cameo just over a year ago. I intended to use my Cricut and my Cameo. I haven't touched my Cricut since except to take it off my work table so I could have more room to work. It's still sitting under my table collecting dust. Have fun with your Cameo, and check out the Silhouette Plus Forum for a bunch of devoted Cameo fanatics--they can help you get up and running faster with tons of tips, tutorials, and individual help using your new toy. I just bought a cameo on Black Friday! I knew I really wanted one but I went back and forth about it for days and finally got one! The only reason I was hesitant at first is because I literally just bought a cricut a month ago for the 1st time I debated about getting a cricut as well for a long time and then finally bit the bullet & got one for my birthday. I have used it a few times and every time it wouldn't cut the paper correctly so I finally just stopped using it because it annoyed me too much lol maybe I wasn't using the settings correctly but I'm kinda mad I have it now I wish I would have knew about the cameo before buying the cricut because now that I have the cameo I know I'll prob. Never use the cricut! Lol if it wasn't past the 30 day return policy I wouldn't think twice about returning it! Your going to love your cameo! | |

Thanks for the reassurance! Lol
Yes, my mom rocks! She likes seeing me make " fun stuff" as she calls it.
It will be here Monday and I would love to keep it under the tree but she also "helped" me shop the Sil store for some holiday decoration files.
I will certainly let you all know if I hate it.. If I love it I'll see you next year some time. |

I got one for Christmas last year and was sure that I would still use my Cricut Expression and my Slice.
Umm no they sit on my desk all lonely! It is just so easy to go to the Silhouette store, buy exactly what you need and be cutting it out within minutes. Especially compared to getting my cartridges or design cards out, working out which images I want and having to estimate the correct size.
I absolutely love the fact that I can see exactly how the image or title will look on a 12 x 12 page before I cut.
Enjoy your new toy!

Well, my siblings always give me money and I always use it to pay bills. So this year I said a Cameo. And yes, I am freaking out. I have the money to pay my bills, but it'd be nice to have a bit extra, yet I know I will never ever have the Cameo unless someone else gets it for me.
Don't even know if they're going to do it, but I am a bit sick about it.
Until I get it, I am sure!! |

I just ordered one for myself on Black Friday. It had been sitting in my Amazon cart for days. It was one of those things that I didn't really need to be spending money on right now, but that dang Cricut was just more trouble than it was worth. I've had it for 3 years and only used it a handful of times. The Cameo seems to be so much easier to use and it doesn't chew my papers up the way my Cricut did. |

For those of you who made the switch, do you scrap with your computer in your "space" in order to use the Cameo? I have a designated space for my scrapping, but the computer is not in it.....I'm afraid it would be a pain to have to stop and run upstairs every time I want to cut something. kwim? But I keep hearing so much about the Cameo I am intrigued on how you use it productively?! |
