I need a glue that will disappear under vellum. I'm making a banner and using the vellum with gold foil dots randomly placed, by Crate Paper. The vellum itself is white.

There are vellum glue dots but I find most things shows through slightly even a xyron. What I do instead is use regular adhesive or a glue dot in a spot on the vellum then cover it with an embellishment. In your case you could cover your dots of glue with your randomly placed foil dots. That's what I would do. Hope that makes sense. |

I have found that ATG adhesive is barely visible through vellum. |

The foil dots are already on it. But I'm wondering if I don't end up using all the sheets of paper if I could cut out individual dots.

I got some tape from Scotch that is made for vellum and used it just last night on an acrylic clear cut from Little Yellow Bicycle.
I couldn't see it at all! I was impressed, because I have tried others that haven't worked! |

Cardipaws, where did you find the tape?
I have this problem, also. I usually hide it with an embellishment. |

You could go the "don't even try to hide it" route and use eyelets, staples, etc. |

I've had great luck using a Therm O Web vellum adhesive runner. It works great and is invisible under a sheet of vellum!
I'd link it, but it looks like direct competitors of 2 Peas sell it. I think I purchased mine at Ms several yrs ago.

I have also found this to be true. I have vellum tape from Scotch and I don't like it at all. I'm spoiled by applicator guns and it just came on a roll.

I think I got the tape at J's, but I know I have seen it other places. I just happened to think I needed it when I saw it this time! LOL

Here is a link to their website and some reviews...I don't see it here in the shop. |

So an update on glue for vellum. I used glossy accents and it works great! Dries clear and flat. I can see the tiniest of outline but maybe because I'm looking for it.
