I thought I remember seeing a place mentioned here that started with an "F". I have looked at Amazon and O.co. My anniversary is tomorrow and DH is really trying to make up for some lack of thinking on his part in life and said I should get something I really wanted for anniv. I am just not sure I can justify the cost. I have a CE. It used to get used a ton when my Gyspy was working but that crashed about 2 mos ago. I won't get rid of it as I have quite a few carts and do see a use for it.
My other dilemma is my scrap house is outside and my computer is in the den in the house. Will it be a hassle to store? Drag out and use?
I know the love for it around here and I really wanted one a year ago when the new one came out and every other thread was about it. But I think I talked myself out of it and now slowing talking myself back into it. I also already have a library started with shapes. I have been collecting since summer or before "just in case".
So, I know you can talk me into it, but where is the best place to buy and discuss my points above.
Thanks All!! |

Fotobella? I got mine from OhMyCrafts, they usually run good sales. I love my Cameo. I sold my Cricut with everything and never missed it. You do need a computer with Cameo, only you can decide if that is ok with you. I wish they had a Gypsy kind of thing for the Cameo so I could design anywhere. I was hooked to that little thing. |

I looked and looked and the Amazon bundle with free shipping was the best deal I found. Two mats, two blades! |

You know, I know there's been a lot of bad things said about OMC, but I bought my Silhouette SD and then my Cameo 6 months later from them and I had absolutely NO issues at all. In fact, my Cameo shipped 2 weeks earlier than expected. As for Fotobella, I've bought a ton of Silhouette stuff from them (rhinestones, vinyl, tools...) and their customer service is really out of this world. So if the prices are comparable, maybe you should go with Fotobella. |

Silhouette America has it on their site for $229.00 including the designer software which is a $50.00 purchase. Amazon had it for $229.00 and free shipping. I got one for Christmas from the hubby (such a good guy). I have been using it for the past couple of days and it cuts like butter. I don't find it a problem storing.....it is lighter weight than the original silhouette and if my tech unsavvy brain can figure it out you should have no problem. Need me to enable another purchase?. |

I got mine at overstock.
Did you know you can save a design to a SIM card so you don't have to have it connected to your computer? I haven't tried it but I read about it in the manual. |

I got mine from CraftVinyl. I know some people had bad things to say but the price was right and I ordered it on Friday and got it on Wed. no problem at all! My biggest problem is that it is a Christmas present from my dh and I'm not allowed to play with it! |

Got my cameo from craft-e-corner.com for $229 a few days before Black Friday not sure if that deal is still going on but I did see that price after Black Friday so maybe it's still valid I would check it out! It took less then a week to get here! I searched high and low and that was the best deal at the time I could get!

I just got my Cameo last week. Ordered it from amazon with free shipping and it got here in two days. (Would've been one day but it fell on Thanksgiving). I paid $239 and got the extra blade and mat bundle with sketch pens.

When I first got a craft robo, I had to have it in the living room with the computer and it was a hassle. I never used it because when everyone was up, it was so loud it drowned out the sound of the tv and when everyone was in bed, it was loud enough to wake people up (the living room is not far enough away from the bedrooms). Now I have a laptop in my craft room so all is well.
If you think you'll want to design on your computer and transfer it to an SD card (has to be fully ready to cut-you can't change or resize anything once it's on the card) then I would do that. Otherwise maybe you can get a netbook or inexpensive laptop so you can take it to (or leave it in) your scrap area easily. |
