Hi all -

I'd like to get my niece a scrapbook "starter kit" for Christmas. She doesn't live near me so it's something I would need to mail (and I can't sit with her and go over what types of supplies she's interested it). She has expressed an interest in scrapbooking though and I know she has a camera. She's 12.5 yo.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to get??

Last year I gave my 14 year old niece a bunch of SMASH - she LOVED it!! I gave her the album, tape, pockets, tabs, different color pen and a journal paper pad.

I agree ^^^^.

I did the same thing-I gave a Smash book and Smash accessories. I included a storage container with handle to hold everything in then added a tape runner, scissors, small trimmer, a $3 bag from M's to hold the tape, scissors, small trimmer into for quick grabbing. All the pre-teens and teens love this and they use it.

Michaels has a nice little smash book set. Last time I was in it was 40% off too.
