I have purchased a few Digital Brush files from Studio Calico. How do I import them to my Silhouette Library? So that I can do the trace and cut thing. (That's my technical description, ha ha!)

Fyi: I have the Designer Edition.

Thanks for any help!!

It is my understanding that you would have to make a png of the file in Photoshop save that to a place on your computer and then import to library making sure to click "all files" in the pop up window. You should then be able to do the trace feature. It is something I will do this afternoon now that you have brought it to my attention because I have a lot of brushes that would make great cuts.

You should just be able to open it in the software or even copy and paste and them trace. At least that's what I do with clipart that I trace.

A brush is not clipart and you have to do exactly what susank12 said - turn the brush into a png file before you can import it into the Silhouette software and use the trace feature.

The brushes should come in .abr & .png format. Open the .png format in silhouette studio and trace the image you want to cut. I think GG Lisa Truesdell (gluestickgirl) did a tutorial in one of the Memory Keeping Mondays videos.

Thanks! I found the tutorial by Lisa and Ali and have pinned both for future reference.

I thought you could open up the .png file right in Silhouette Studio, but looks like you have to open in Photoshop and save as a jpeg file first.

Thanks Peas!!
