Hi everyone,

I can't believe it is December already! I'm sure all of you are busy getting ready for Christmas.

What are your plans for this week? What have you done to get ready for Christmas? Are any of you doing JYC or DD? I haven't started any December project this year, which is a first for me in several years.

I have a couple more Christmas gifts to get and I will try to think about that this week. I'm still stumped on what to give these two people.

Hope everyone has a fantastic week!

Goals for this week:
Work on Christmas card for Janet/cherrypicker
Mail the rest of my Christmas cards - they are all ready to go.

Health and weightloss goals:
Salad every day
Increase water intake

Blew my Monday chance at my goals. Mom wanted to eat out when we ran errands as she was hungry. Tuesday is a new chance to try again.

Hope everyone's week is off to a great start!

Hi Betsy!!

I have been working on my Christmas cards and they are almost done; I just have to find a sentiment for the interior of the card and finish them up today. I hope to put Janet's card in the mail to you later today or first thing tomorrow.

My healthy eating goals have been awful lately; but I decided for December to just do this one little thing: no candy. I will recommit fully after the holidays.

I am working on buying Christmas gifts, making cards, putting out decorations - very busy and feeling a little overwhelmed. I think maybe I need to focus on just one task each day and then it won't feel so impossible.

For cropping, I'm not doing a lot right now. I'm really hoping to get the above items done this week so I can have some time to just hang out and play! I am doing a super simple version of the December Daily. I created a 12x12 digital calendar layout with a place for a photo for each day of the month. All I have to do is add a photo to each day and I'm done. I need to add a small spot for journaling - just enough for 2-3 words for each day.

For calories, I'm continuing my exercising at least 5 times a week. I am also giving up one thing until Christmas - COKES! I am on day 9 with no coke (or other soft drink or other caffeinated beverage). I have probably had a coke every day for the past 15 years at least. Christmas week I will let myself have a coke if I want, but I'm hoping that by then that desire will be gone.

Anybody else want to join Marilyn and me in giving up just one thing this month? What is hindering your scrapping or health goals?

hi, everyone
wow what a couple of day and week is not even over.. I don't know if it is because of holidays but my kids are sure wound up... it has been very difficult in getting anything done.. I'm bit behind in my posting. I know yesterday I did have trouble getting on here in morning. so tomorrow I'll catch up on the organize your stuff challenge..

my plans for this week is to do my shopping list for Santa on sat.. then after that just trying to enjoy the holidays and be stress free. I'm thinking of buying gingerbread house to decorate with kids. just debating on getting two of same so they don't fight over it. lol I'm sure there will be snacking involve.. we just got done decorating our tree tonight and now it's quiet time of watching tv..

I just start working on Christmas cards--I went through my storage box of Christmas supply and collected all the bits and pieces of leftover from
projects I did and I decide to use them up this year and whatever is left will go to my daughter's craft box. I want to get rid all of old stash and start a new stash next year.

Goals for this week:

Start christmas cards
get pictures develop for cards
Mail them by next week

Health and weight loss goals
increase water intake
exercise 2 days a week

Hi guys! I am feeling a bit overwhelmed but thats kind of normal for me this time of year. Lol i have shopping planned for this week and hope to get into my holiday groove
I do have the decorating done so at least I can check that off the list right?

I read in 2 different magazines that the average person only gains .8 lbs over the holiday (thats worth cheering about) so with that knowledge I have decided to go ahead and make some holiday desserts/cookies. I hope to keep walking to counteract the sugar.

Do any of you use one of those exercise balls?

As for giving something up? Stress! Thats my goal

Whew, what a week. There are so many errands, plus appointments. I am looking forward to the weekend, already! I am tired of being on the go so much. I did get my Christmas cards mailed off yesterday. Now to work on Janet's card. I think I have everything I need to do that. I might not be able to get started on it until the weekend. Things are crazy here this week, between the errands and appointments. So far all I've gotten done is gathering supplies, but that is a start.

Marilyn, I like your idea of just focusing on one little healthy aspect and recommitting after the holidays are over. That way you can focus on enjoying the beauty and meaning of the season. And enjoy some goodies!

weaser, I'm joining you and Marilyn. I like the idea of choosing something to give up one thing this month. I will give up putting extra cheese on my pasta during December.I especially like Vicki's willingness to give up stress! Love that!

Michele, how are you feeling? Better, I hope! What fun for your kidlets to make gingerbread houses. Did you decide to go with a separate one for each child?

Vicki, I have an exercise ball that my physical therapist gave me. The exercise ball was my favorite part of going to PT. Unfortunately, we don't really have a good place for me to use it here at home. Sooner or later we will have to move out of this house and hopefully the next place will have space to use it. I have a few books with exercises to do with exercise balls. Some of the exercises are supposed to be good for weight loss. What cookies and desserts are you planning to make?

thanks for the input on the ball.. I have heard that its great for tightening up the core-- I was hoping to watch TV on it! lol

As far as desserts I think-- some basics.. Sugar cookies, fudge, oatmeal, something decedant with chocolate... not sure yet!

Good morning,

I'm feeling alot better--cuddling with kiddos on couch and watching cartoon was perfect way to feel better and relax..

Saturday, I'll be doing my Christmas shopping, sunday I'm hoping to finish all the Christmas cards and getting pictures done as well.. then new to do list for next week--baking cookies as requested by daughter lol she is so ready for Santa to come..working on some crafty things, still cleaning and organizing but I'm so close to finishing up.. etc..

I did buy two gingerbread person for each of them. I know my little girl would want to do her own way of doing things. she is too much like me. lol so i have it and plan to do it this week sometime. I also find some things in my christmas stash that i'm going to use for kids to make crafty ornaments.. so i just need to see what i need to add to complete the activity for them. I'll do that on saturday as well since i'll be out and about.. shopping..

I've been drinking water each time i go to the fridge to get something out.. i have four water bottles in there so I just drink one of them each time I go there so far it's going good..
umm exercise--does chasing kids away from tree count..lol

Today is freezing rain here, my little girl is not feeling well--she has a touch of stomach bug ugh...so going to do some laundry, keep her feeling better with applesauce, soda and cracker and few things around house.. nothing too exciting here today lol

Vicki, all your recipes sound yummy! Have fun! I know what you mean, stuck on what to get for some people. I am still trying to figure out what to get for my aunt and uncle. I need to make my card for Janet tonight. I have the things and have sketched out some ideas.

Michele, your little ones are going to be so excited to make their gingerbread houses. You are doing great with the water, and yes, chasing your kidlets away from the tree definitely counts as exercise, LOL! Hope your dd feels better soon!

Native New Yorker, your scrapbook club sounds like a lot of fun!

hi, all

wow where did the week goes? daughter feeling alot better today.. I was able to work on my to do list over the weekend:

Christmas shopping--started but not completed--ugh next year online shopping to avoid the crowd...

Choosing cookies Recipes--picking a few and one new recipe to try--just to double check on ingredients on hand to make sure i have enough..

Pictures--order pictures this morning for cards--should be here by sat

Address for cards----printed address on mailing labels ready to go

I have 7 Christmas cards made so far using leftover stickers from a card kit I did few years back. then I went through my box of blank cards and find some pre-made tags with envelopes so i'm going to use them and add stamp sentiments with some twines and gems then called it done.

Vicki--so know what you means about making Christmas cards.. i always say i do them early but i never do because I tend to change my mind and plus my best idea come under pressure. lol

i'm hoping to work on some more things today on my list--ugh never ending lol Have a great day!

Michele

I'm going to work on Janet's card tonight. Started last night, but didn't get finished.
