...are you finding that you're doing more smashing than actual scrapbooking? I'm really liking the casual style of the smashbooks and I may end up with more smash than scraps! What do you all think?

Yes!! I got into smashing about a year back and I love it!! It is a very different approach to scrapbboking (imo) However, I am finding that I am over-embellishing hence my book, "runneth over" It has become so fat. I have the rubber band thingy to keep it closed but it is out growing that now, as well.
I have decided to keep it on my table, open and it looks like a fan effect. It gets looked at by everyone. Problem is... I am only half way thru it I really don't want to take it apart until I learn the binding technique.. only then, would I take it apart.
Smashing is random.. and I like random

I haven't done a scrapbook page in a month. Honestly, that is when I bought a smashbook. I now have two of them. I have one for everyday randomness and one for my weight loss. I LOVE them! I wish I had discovered them earlier.
