Set 1-- maybe it is just me, but I prefer the older, classic images over the new "blueprints". Especially for Christmas Cards/layouts.

Are you an edgier, more "fashion-forward" type? Gotta have & collect the latest releases? (Disclosure- I am a Tim-Nut, taken his classes twice IRL and once online and I already own Set 1.)

I have set 2.
Love it!
However I do see the appeal of set 1...
I love the Santa.

I really like both, but if you can only get one, I would say the set number two. It is very unique!

They are both wonderful, but I really love set no. 2 and used it to make Christmas cards.

I vote for set 2. It looks a bit eclectic to me and I like that.

Set #1. It's more timeless. I look at set 2 and think it's just a fad and not as versatile.

I like the timelessness of Set 1. You can vary the look by using trendier colors or techniques if you wanted. On the other hand, if your card recipients are mostly males, they might get a kick out of Set 2. So, both. Not so helpful, sorry!

I also like the more timeless look of Set 1, although Paper Pile Kitten's cards are cute.

OK, I seriously didn't get the whole blueprint thing (for most folks, but it is sooo TH ), but then I saw PaperPileKitten's cards and now I totally get it. I love those cards!

I think it depends on what you'll be using the set for - cards vs. tags vs. layouts vs. wrapping paper, etc.

The first set is very classic. I love, love, love that Santa.

The second set is new and unique (unless you make stuff for crafters, I doubt any of your card/tag/gift recipients will have ever seen anything like it!) and the images can be cut out and layered as PPK did (see her cards above), and the soldier could even have the joints hinged so the arms and legs move. Ooh, now I might have to have those too!

Have fun choosing...NOT!

Thanks, Steph and lpeitz!

Yes, I handcut the top layer shapes but that wasn't too hard. It was a little bit trickier to handcut the smaller shapes when I made a Christmas card from the Mini Blueprint stamp set. And now you just have to have that mini stamp set as well, right? I'm always happy to enable.

Thanks for your help ladies! I ended up ordering #1. Partly because it is more traditional and also because it is the oldest of the two. I am hoping that if I still want the blueprints one next year it will still be available.
