Hey girls!
I've been considering starting Project life for the year 2013.
My husband is going through the process of joining the military right now which means between basic training and the possibility of deployment - he may be missing a lot of 'family moments'. I would love to be able to have a daily album for him to come home to and look at.
I find the 12x12 size overwhelming and just off putting. I know it sounds weird but I'd rather keep my 12x12 sized albums for my 12x12 layouts and photo albums.
I really want to do a smaller project life. I'm considering using the Simple Stories albums and page protectors but I could really use some advice or inspiration!
Is anyone else here doing a SMALLER size project life? I'd love to see it! |

I am doing 12x12 but I wanted to say that this is a great idea. I am an Air Force wife and wish I had done this when my DH was in Korea for a year.
My thoughts are with you guys in this crazy time!

I did 12x12 in 2012 and while I love it, it does take a long time (I make my own kit) and I love doing traditional layouts also.
For 2013 I'm going to use a Studio Calico handbook which is 6x8. The spine is the same as a 12x12 binder and the divided page protectors come in a variety of combinations. I'm really excited to still do project life, but in a less demanding size.

I am planning on doing a project life for 2013 and using the Simple Stories Sn@ap line. I have their brown binder and have been purchasing various page protectors (theirs also) and accumulating the whole line and adding some of the Life Documented and maybe some of the other lines as well! What's nice about Simple Stories is that they make lines for the seasons like Christmas, summer, fall/thanksgiving, birthdays, so it would be easy to incorporate those lines into a project life I think. I am planning on doing a weekly format on one side of the page protector, not spreading a whole week between two pages. If I don't do it that way I don't think I could fit a whole year into one binder! So we'll see how it goes!!

I am going to be doing pl (after I get it for Christmas) The 12x12 version... but I have just decided to do a smaller version of pl. A Snap, 6x6 version for my college daughter. I am going to base it on a, "While you were away" type theme. It will be perfect for her to keep in her dorm. I will keep the larger version at home. I can't wait to get started

I'm actually contemplating 6x12 or 81/2 by 11 for my third year. I'm just worried the snap won't be big enough to hold the year. |
