Pantone announced the Color of the Year: Emerald. What's the verdict of the peas? Love it or hate it? I think it looks gorgeous.
Do you think that we will see a lot of emerald at CHA in January? 
I have to add: I just realized that Emerald would look just wonderful together with some trendy gold.

LOVE IT!!! Green, to me, is the color of new life ~ thoughts like fresh, spring, clean...especially with the Emerald hue! I'm all for it!! I was contemplating repainting my bathroom on the main floor....I think I'll leave it now and just update the linens! |

I like it but don't love it. For me, it will depend on what it is paired with...a nice bright pink or lavender would be nice.

I'm not a strong lover of green either but, I do love jewel tones. I would want to see the actual emarald color in the product before I would consider a purchase. It be a little late for it to show up at CHA this year. | |

I am not sure. That is not a color I would use often, but I foresee that I'm going to see some nice papers with that color in it and depending what the other colors are, I might want to use those papers in projects during the spring and summer months. |

I love most greens, but I am not in love with this one. I am not a "jewel tone" person.
I probably won't buy much in this color, there are so many other greens I like better. |

Not a fan. For some reason, I have never liked Emerald, especially not at Christmas. For Christmas green, I prefer shades of apple.
And I hate gold.

I love the emerald color as well and I think we will see richer tones like this trend throughout the year. Gold is already hot, and now the emerald. Jewel tones pair well with pastels which are also gaining popularity.
I also like how emerald pairs well with 2012 color of the year, Tangerine Tango.
There are several shades of green in the spring fashion colors that will look great with emerald too.
Of course we will have to wait until Feb. to see what the home interior trend colors will be. I can't wait! |

So, a majority (including garden girls) is all for it but some hate it and others are on the fence. Probably as it should be.
I guess that we might be seeing some Emerald color on CHA in January, at least from the trendiest designers, but even more at CHA Summer. I remember this summer when Elizabeth Kartchner introduced a few gold accents in 5th & Frolic. I fell head over heels in love with gold, and I don't think I was the only one because four months later it's gold and glitter everywhere! lol!
