I have been searching everywhere for a tutorial I watched a while back. It showed how to create 2 3x4 photos on one 4x6 photo sheet in photoshop elements. I have elements 11. Can anypea help me? Thanks!

Crop the two photos to 3 by 4..set the resolution to 720.. Then increase the canvas size to 4 by 6( select orientation as in which side do you want the canvas to increase in size from with the 4 arrows in the change canvas size).. Cut and copy the other photo onto the new canvas. And save that's it.

I just got 11 too. There isn't much info out there on the new version. Here is what I did. Open a new file. Make the size 4x6. You have to crop the original photos first then save. On your blank canvas go to the file menu then go down to place. Open the picture you want. Resize and that's it.

It took me 2 days to figure this out so if someone knows an easier way PLEASE let me know!

If you download Picasa, a free tool from Google, this very easy to do in Picasa.

Select two photos in Picasa, select menu option "Create -> Picture Collage"

Use the Grid and you have options for 4x6 and you do horizontal or vertical.

Thanks for the help. My problem is that after I resize my photos to 3 x 4 and place them on the 4 x 6 canvas, the smaller photo fills the canvas like I had never resized it.

If you use PSE, you can also use a template and just clip your photos into each space. I find that is really easy to do.

Here are a few free templates that I like:
Cathy Zielske - 4 on a 4x6
Paislee Press 4x6 templates
Paislee Press 4x6 templates vol. 2

And here are some step-by-step instructions I copied from Cathy Z's blog on using a clipping mask and a video tutorial too:
TO PLACE PHOTOS into the template:
1. Open the photo you'd like to use, Select > All (Command or Control+A), Edit > Copy (Command or Control+C) and close the photo.
2. Click on your target layer on the template ("photo" and then Paste the photo into the template via Edit > Paste (Command or Control+V). You will probably have to size your photo down, and you do this by grabbing any one of the four corner handles, clicking, holding down the mouse, and dragging.
3. To pop the photo into the layer mask, go to Layer > Create Clipping Mask (Command or Control+G). Repeat for other photos.

If you're still struggling with PSE, I also recommend Picasa. I still haven't gotten the hang of PSE and find Picasa easy if I just want to make a quick collage.

Good luck!

Let me try this again:
Ali Edwards blog

It's the 1/6/12 blog entry on Ali Edwards blog. I found this real helpful and have been able to do it myself which is always shocking!

I do it on my Charm, but also use photo sheet - free and so easy to put multiple photos on a 4x6 or whatever photo size you want.
