to the CraftRoom? I guess if I were to sell the carts later, that would be the only issue.

All my carts are linked to my Gypsy.... but hopefully PC is working on that...

Heidi hit it spot on. If I had to chose though I'd link them to a gypsy. That thing is awesome! Craft room from what I've heard is kind of spotty. If you link to a gypsy you don't need to be connected to a computer like craft room.

I didn't realize that about Cricut Craftroom. I have all my cartridges linked to my Gypsy and have never attempted to connect them to craftroom. That is good info to know.

thanks! I did not know you could not link to both.

You can have them linked to both BUT you have to link them to your Craft Room FIRST then the first time you connect your Gypsy your carts will automatically be linked to it also. But it doesn't work the other way around. You can't link a Gypsy-linked cart to CCR (until there's a fix). I now link all my carts to my CCR so that I can have them on both. Hope this helps

If I do link them to my CCR, does this mean I do not have to put in a different cart each time it asks for a change?

I would like to know what ninny thought it was a good idea to be avle
to link your carts to the Craft Room first and then you can link them to your Gypsy but not in the other order! The Gypsy came first. Not like I want to be able to use the CR but if I did I'd be mighty pissed off about it since all my carts are linked to my Gypsy.
|Posted: 12/10/2012 4:44:10 PM|Ugh... so I have a Cricut orignal and until now I was unable to link my cartridges to CCR. I got a Gypsie with my Cricut as well and I did link a few cartridges to it before I realized I really did not like it. Now I cannot link those to CCR which is pretty much the only thing I use... this sucks!
Not to mention that two of my carts claim to have a bad serial number (George and Toy Story). Ugh... I guess I will have to call PC support, but i have heard horror stories about them.

The whole thing confuses me. I don't understand if someone is selling a LINKED cartridge does that mean they can still use it but the new owner can't use it in the CCR or on the gypsy?
If I want to try the CCR do I HAVE to link my cartridge and if yes, is that a negative thing?

You said it!!! I bought a Gypsy before CCR came out. I linked my carts. Now CCR is useless.
(Unless somebody know that PC finally came out with a fix.) Seems like they just decided to ignore all the customers who bought a Gypsy. Nothing new about PC customer care and service here.

Roctavio~ I had the same problem with 4 of my cartridges. I called pc and after updating several times, they sent me 4 new ones that worked in my original( I just had to send the bad ones back) now I have one that won't work with my E2(but it will my original E) guess I have yo call again.
I am not thrilled about having to link my cartridges to either the gypsy or the ccr. I don't like the idea of perment.
