So, a friend told me about this crafter who was claiming to be Noah Pozner's aunt, one of the children who was killed in the school shooting. This crafter have been asking donations for their family. She also has organization for Hurricane Sandy and children with autism. She has been asking money through email and have a fake websites and facebook page asking for donations.
It is very disturbing for me to use victims of shooting and calamities to scam people! I asked for information and made some research about her: real name is Nouel Alba but uses the name Victorian Glam Fairys on facebook..
Also found some video on CNN investigating her. She denied about sending emails but confirmed it is her email and paypal account, and had said she returned all the money after new crew went to her house. But other members of the fb group I belong had proof of her claiming she is the aunt's victim.

I posted it here because I know that a lot of peas here are also member of The Scrap Yard group on facebook where the scammer was an active member and was just recently deleted by the admin to avoid scamming other crafters.
I dont know if shes a member here because she's a scrapbooker and member of various scrapbooking and crafter's group. She sells embellishments and clays.. | |

Seems like there is always someone who tries to take advantage of a tragedy for their own gain, whatever that might be. Reminds me of that documentary, "The Woman Who Wasn't There", about the woman who lied for years about losing a fiancee in the 9/11 attacks....

I was unfortunately part of a group that was scammed by her. A fairly small crafting and swapping group on Facebook. One of the members is an old friend of mine and asked me to join to help create angels to send to the families of the victims. They had a member already in their group who came forward and said we could send them to her to be delivered. This was Nouel Alba, the woman who was claiming to be Noah Pozner's aunt. We all sent our angels viz Priority Mail on Monday 12/17 so they would all arrive in time for the funerals, mine was actually sent the day after the tragedy, on Saturday and it arrived at her home on Monday.
JUST today I received a notice that the package was refused, even though it had been delivered Monday, so I'm very hopeful that my lovingly made, heartfelt angel will be returned to me so I can then find an appropriate avenue to reach out to a family to receive it. It's sickening and heartwrenching that someone would use such a tragedy to scam those with kind and giving souls out of everything they can.
I have filed Mail Fraud paperwork with the USPS and cooperated with the FBI's investigation regarding this, but it really just makes me sick. |

I ignored it because it sounded fishy

So sad. Naoh P's name came up associated with another scam out there for donations, that his parents were able to shut down, I wonderful if this was the same scam? Some people are so cruel, his parents should not have to be handling things like this right now. They should be allowed to grieve. | |

I had to go watch the documentary. But honestly I think this woman is worst since her scams are to get money and things out of kind people. At least Tanya actually helped accomplish things for others.
Funny how the scum of the earth are targeting us.
