I have both. They are both great machines just different. I have found that I don't like being tied to the computer. So I don't use the silouette quite as much. Hope that helps! | |

I have both also. My Cricut is the original though, so now I like having the option to do 12x12 option. |

If you are able and willing to spend the time to learn to use it, a Silhouette will give you more capability and versatility.
I have both a Cricut and a computer driven cutter. I use them both, so I suggest you keep the
Cricut and if you can afford the Silhouette, too, then buy the Silhouette if you think it will meet your needs. However, I suggest you download the free Silhouette software to see if you are comfortable with it before you invest in the machine.
I use the Cricut when I need convenience or any to use one of their designs that I've bought. I use my Gazelle (similar to a Cameo in capabilities) when I want to use my computer fonts to make a title or create my own designs. |

Trade that sucker! I got a cameo last Jan and I never used my cricut again. Actually I just sold it. Honestly, I never used once I got the cameo. It is totally amazing and you won't regret it.
I made some pretty awesome vinyl phrase frames for family with it and they were a big hit. |

I have a cricut just sold my sd for the cameo. I'm going to be selling most of my carts that I know I won't be using. And just keeping a select few. So it just really comes down to personal preference. |

I recently sold the majority of my cricut cartridges and I still have 2 machines to get rid of. They had been sitting for a full year after I got my Cameo. It was time to move on. |
