How are their prints? I placed my first order and just wondered about the quality of the photos. Has anyone used them before?
thanks!

I'm curious to hear more opinions too. I have my first order on the way also. I've only heard good things, though. |

I love persnickety. The photos come out great and they have a nice selection of sizes and you can choose photo paper or cardstock. I usually order photo prints but I think I am going to spend a little more to get the card stock. It is only a few pennies per print. Plus they call you if there is a problem with your order. And they ship out super fast. I placed an order in mid morning by afternoon the order was shipped and on my doorstep in a few days. Super fast. | |

I just did my first order a few weeks ago for the 12/12/12 class at Big Picture. I know they are pricier than my local drugstore but I was blown away by the quality!!! I will continue to use them in the future. They have a code good for 20% off 4x6 prints thru Jan. 31: document20 |

I like them. Any digital prints I do there, fast shipping, even during sale times. I usually build up my layouts and wait for a sale to order.. they do a few a year, some are % off prints, and some are free shipping. They usually have a semi-annual sale right around superbowl time if I remember correctly, then again in about Sept/Oct.

thank you everyone for your help! I was going to order a wide format printer, but when I discovered the cost of paper is about $40 (13x19), I decided I can just order online. I am going to do Project Life for the first time this year and I want to order my larger prints from some place who will ship quickly and the quality is great. (I have been thinking of a selphy or Charm now lol).

I really like them, although their ordering interface is not as user friendly as other sites. I also don't like that when I upload photos it scrambles them in the album, so that they are not shown in the order I took them. I still use them as their quality and price is so good. |

The quality of the prints is absolutely gorgeous. I have been ordering from them for months now and love the variety of sizes.

Do they make photo strips like you get in a photo booth? and do they make square prints? |

Kim,
Here is a link to their pricing..not sure on the photobooth prints. They do offer square photos (i ordered some instagram pics).

(If you have photoshop elements or photoshop, I think it would be relatively easy to make a photostrip if they don't offer it) |

I went to their site and was I'm confused about what to order. What about pics on cardstock? Which do you recommend? Cardstock or regular photo paper? Glossy or matte?

For sure order photographic (i prefer matte)- that's what they're known for. It's dark room printing, archival, fade, scratch resistant & waterproof!
Printing at home is not only expensive, it's ink (which uses CMYK color profile) and won't last. Photographic is developer, bleach, and light- the best for pro photographers. Persnickety Prints just "get's it". I won't use anyone else.

The quality is terrific. Much better than Shutterfly/Snapfish and not as expensive as MPIx. I like the variety of sizes and papers available. They also have freebies and digi kits for download on their blog.
They have an app too so you can order right from your phone.

I am local, and can pick them up in person.
I cannot say enough about them, they are amazing. Their attention to detail and quality is above any I have ever seen/used. And I am REALLY picky. I have never been a "Costco" photo person. I have always used professional labs (unless I am in a pinch or school project type thing) and they are great. They use the BEST quality ink and paper.
The ONLY thing I do not like is their website/upload/order process is a bit challenging and hard to navigate. I wish they would fix that.
Their studio is cool though. ; ) |

I'm so glad to hear good things about their prints, because I just had such a frustrating time trying to use their site for the first time.
Has anyone else noticed that it takes quite a long time to upload photos, even when using the "fast upload" option?
That was my main complaint. How long everything was taking.
Even when I tried editing (And I will definitely edit first from now on.) the little pop was asking me to be patient.
Only I was having a hard time being patient after just a few photos.
I'm hoping they are just swamped right now or something and that they aren't always so slow. |

I found them a really good replacement for scrapbookpictures.com - I also wish it was a little easier to edit/crop photos, but the prints are a really nice quality, they have a great variety of sizes, and they ship ridiculously fast. I get mine printed on regular photo paper, matte.

Does anyone know if they have an option to add a white border to your photos? I can't seem to find an answer on their website without signing up for an account. TIA!

Yes there is an option, when placing your order, for a white border but it costs a bit more. I can't say anything about the quality as my order, placed on the 19th was just shipped yesterday.

I was going to place an order after hearing so many good things from the Peas but as I was about to check out, my prints were only $3 and shipping was $5. I couldn't see spending that much. |

Hmm..interesting to see that everyone else likes them so much. I've only ordered once (I took a BPC class that gave 25 free prints), and I wasn't impressed with the quality. They were fast, though. |

LOVE them. I order almost all my prints from there because I'm usually looking for more than just 4x6. I've been really pleased with the quality of every order and they're super fast. Been using them for over a year.
Typically go for the photographic paper. Cardstock still looks nice but the finish isn't what I'd typically prefer. I've done matte, glossy and metallic finish and all are beautiful. Love their size options. Love their pricing. I wish the upload/selecting etc was a little more user friendly because selecting all the custom sizes can be a bit time consuming.
I used to order from Scrapbookpictures.com. When they went out of business I was a little worried I wouldn't be able to find another place with the same variety of print sizes/shapes. I think PP actually has more. So glad I found them! |
