I just wasn't feeling it this year. My teens never want their pictures taken, so I usually get a photo with a snarky look on their face and I just didn't want to deal with that. And at the family events we attended, we were so busy, well.... I kind of forgot to take out my camera! I hate scrapping Christmas photos, anyway, so now I don't have to worry about it. Anyone else?

Maybe the scrapbooking police will take away my membership card?

Me! Well actually I did take one of my tree, that is a tradition for an ongoing scrap project of all the trees I have had over the years. But pretty much nothing else this year. We are repainting the interior of our house this winter so we did not go all out on decorating and having get together's as we usually do so that is a big reason for me as well.

I was almost there with you, and had only taken a handful of phone pics this season. It was nice to live the holiday and not worry about documenting it.

But as I explained in this post I'm very happy we took a few pics with a real camera at last minute.

I did take a couple but much less than I ususally do. I got one of my mom and my sons in front of the tree, and yes they are at that snarky teen age when they don't want their pictures taken, including my mom. LOL. I got one of our tree and Mom's tree but none of me or my brother. So much for being in the photos. I took a couple of boys opening presents but the lighting was awful. so not so many to scrap.

sooo, exactly how long does this snarky no-photo teen phase last?
We had the camera avoiding tween and elementary years, and I was hoping there would be a good phase ahead....

I only took 3 photos of my grandchildren opening gifts....just too much going on. I still have Christmas with my granddaughter in northern IN so I'll take a couple pictures of her when we see her. I haven't been scrapping much this past year and am really behind, so I have plenty of other pictures to do, lol!!!

I took a bunch, as it was our first white Christmas, our DGS' first Christmas of all time (he's 3 months old) and a holiday our 2-year-old DGD made a real joy. My only regret is that most of those had to be taken with mine and my DH's cell phone, because my camera battery died and I have lost the charger!

I did take a few every day leading up to Christmas, not too many though. On Christmas morning, I usually take a few quick ones and then put the camera away and enjoy my kids opening their gifts. It goes by so fast, I'd rather make eye contact with them than telling them to "move here, look over here", etc.

Yes, I did. I didn't take a lot though and I've just gone through and deleted some and have them organized. Yay me!

I took photos, but not too many and really didn't get any family shots. It was a little too busy around here and some of us came down with the stomach flu. Maybe next year will be better.

I took a couple pre-Christmas ones of my bf and I doing things with our friends, but I didn't take any on the day itself. I actually wish I had, but I know my mom got a few good ones with her camera, so I can always ask her for those.

Besides a FEW of opening gifts and some family pictures I rarely take many pics of Christmas. A few years ago I quit taking so many pictures of my kids opening every single gift and actually watched them and enjoyed the moment. Besides, those pics are SO boring to scrapbook!

I didn't take any photos of the gift opening. Our Christmas was very, very casual--that's what happens when you have a tiny, spread out immediate family, no extended family in town for the holidays, and no small children! I do have some photos, though. I plan to do a little Christmas mini-album, and I'll include the photos I do have, which include the gifts I received, some of my sister's decorations, my boyfriend's family's tree, some that my boyfriend has been sending me of the snow up north, and a wreath that my roommate made to match the little tree I have (though I didn't put it up this year).

I got a couple only, but haven't even checked to see how blurry they are lol! The kids are usually very active gift openers, so there was barely a moment where they were still enough. Couple that with a very dark apartment, wet weather outside, even a higher ISO was having problems catching the action. Quite dissapointing actually.

I took far fewer photos than in past years and I am really upset about it! I wanted to get 4 generation pictures of my mom, me ,DD/DS and the grandkids but no one would co operate . I did get a cute pic of my 3 GK in their jammies in front of my tree but that is about it. I think everyone is sick of me always having the camera out. They will thank me some day.....I hope!!

Did not take a single photo on christmas day but I do have some from other days. It was just too hectic and scattered on the actual day!

I took very few for the first time in years and am perfectly fine with it. However, I just realized we did not take one of the tree & I really wanted one but dh kindly took it down for us yesterday.

I took some of the kids and the tree and they are all blurry! I'm so mad!

I didn't this year, I was just feeling blah and lazy. And also Christmas was a very casual and laid-back event, so there wasn't anything to bother getting the camera out for.

However, my friend and I went to watch the sunrise on the 21st at an astronomy themed local park that has standing stones that the winter and summer solstice rises between. I got several good photos while we were there. I guess that'll be my holiday time layout for the year. I may get photos of my Christmas decorations before I take them down. I have been wanting to do a layout of them for the past few years but always forgot to take photos before it was all packed away.

I had my nieces, nephew, and daughter at my house on Christmas who are all under 9, plus my handsome husband and two cutie brothers, so I took lots of pics. I am the family photographer so they count on me taking some.

This is why my tree is still up. I got some pictures, but I'm considering staging a few shots so I'll have more.

The kids and I have been sick for the last couple of weeks, so it's was a rough holiday for us!

Out of all of the various celebrations, I just looked and I've got about 10 total pictures taken, and out of those, only about 6 decent shots.

Oh well...enough to put at least 1 picture per celebration LO. Too many pictures makes the process of choosing which pictures to use too stressful anyway.

I didn't unless you count the photos of my sparsely decorated tree and the 'fridge with all the cards I recieved on it.

I didn't go visit my family this year since I had to work the day after. I was alone for Christmas, so not much was photo worthy.
