I've found so many really great journaling cards online. Unfortunately when I try to print them my printer treats them like a picture and doesn't let me resize them to either 3x4 or 4x6 so I can fit them in the page protectors. What am I doing wrong?

go to Cathy Zielske's blog. She tells you how to resize. She has great info to share

What program are you using?

Thanks so much for the tip about Cathy Zielske's blog. It seems like a great resource but I wasn't able to find out how to resize the downloaded cards. I'm not sure what program they're opened with but I'm assuming it's Adobe.

So one more time, what program are you using? Adobe isn't a program, it is a company. Photoshop elements maybe? Are the printables made for project life? So they should already be the right size? When you go to print, what options are available to you? Make sure nothing is checked that says "crop" "resize" "print to fit" etc.
Start with that and maybe we can help.

Use any photo editor to resize it to the size that you need it to be. There are lots of free programs either so don't think it's photoshop or nothing.
Usually go under "Image" & you can resize there...just make sure it's resolution is 300dpi.

My computer opens them in my Windows Photo viewer so I can't print them as a 3x4. I'll look into a photo editor program thank you.

You can also use Word.
Open a document then Insert>Picture>From File
add the card you want to the document, then push a corner to resize it.

You can also right click on the file and then select "Open with..." to choose a program to open it with instead of the photo editor. Picasso is a other free download that should work!
