Do any of you feel like you are missing so much in this hobby/industry. There is so much inspiration and things out there on the internet that makes me think I will never be able to see/do all there is out there. Does this make any sense?
The more I surf Pinterest, Studio Calico and 2 Peas, the more I feel this way. I often wonder Wow! what amazing blogs/sites am I missing that I have no idea even exist. I think Pinterest is to blame! LOL! I have a gazillion blogs saved to my favorites bar with amazing ideas, but there isn't enough time in the day/week to visit them all. Am I the only one that is feeling this way? |

You are not the only one! I've mostly given up on blogs sadly. When it came down how I could spend my time I decided the voice of many, say 2Peas and SC, would be better than the voice of one.
Not to say there aren't a few that I check every so often, more like once every couple of months, but they aren't my priority. Manufacturer blogs are a different story. I like that they have the voice of many aspect just like a message board, it's interesting to see all the different DT members take on the same products. |

And I see it as a huge plus. Not that I'm missing anything, but more that I have so many choices, and so much eye candy.
I have 40 bazillion ideas in my own brain I am trying to actually "do", let alone look at anyone else's stuff. I swear I'm gonna stroke out at the rate I'm going w/my "creative zone" here. I'm getting alot accomplished. But find myself exhausted at night.
(but I do it for a living too)
I would much rather be this way, then at a stall. |

I watch the blogs in google reader. I find it easier to keep up with the many blogs I follow. Of course that only work for blogger blogs.
The other blogs I sign up for email notifications of posts to keep up with those.
It is hard to find the time to keep up with everything though.
To me reading a blog is like having a free magazine to look at when I have the time. |

Oh yes, I see some great inspirations, great challenges, great weekly sketches being posted, etc. And there is no way I can keep coming back and seeing it all. Even on my blog, I am following 27 scrappy blogs, but I very rarely see what's posted on them because I don't check the new postings that often. And I keep seeing other blogs for the first time.

Absolutely!!!
But that also gets me thinking that the more I spend looking at my computer or my phone, the more I am missing out on other stuff in real life.
I have started weeding out bookmarked sites and only keeping what I really, really don't want to miss out on. Some will be regular visits, and some only occasional. That is just how it's going to have to be.

YES YES YES! Its crazy how much inspiration there is. I miss the days when we would get a magazine in the mail and then pop over to 2peas to discuss it. CK was our biggest inspiration.
I use google reader and had so many great blogs, then I added pininterest and found more inspiration. Now as some blogs become "commerical" I have been dropping them. I have no need for an infomercial-- there is plenty of great inspiration from "regular" folks here at 2 peas or on personal blogs.
I think inspiration overload stressed me out giving me that "I am behind" feeling all the time because there was sooo much I wanted to try. |

Checking out Two Peas regularly will be on my list for 2013. Besides the manufacturer blogs, my other favorite "group sites" are Write.Click.Scrapbook, Get It Scrapped and Masterful Scrapbook Design. Lots of awesome inspiration from a nice variety of scrappers, all in a few places.
But sadly, it also makes me question how much time and effort I should pour into my personal blog. I guess as much as I enjoy doing! |

Yes, I do feel that same way! If I took the time to look at it all though, I'd never get anything done! |

I think I'm going to pare down the amount of time I spend reading blogs and even my time on 2peas. I could spend hours trolling the Internet reading but I really need to concentrate on doing. Working on my Lo's, spending more time with my family, going to the gym etc.
I've already started weeding out some of the sites I visit daily. |

I feel this way.
I feel like there isn't enough money or time to buy /play with/ use all the things that I would enjoy using.
I need thousands of more dollars, tens more years, and limitless amounts of space to work on and store my scrappy things if I were to try to and do all the things I would want to. |
