How long did you use your trimmer before you needed to replace the blade? I'm just over seven years and I replaced it tonight. I think I could have gotten by for a bit longer but the cuts were just not as clean as they had been. Is this about average?

I have been having mine for ten years and never had to change it and that is with making class kits for six years. It is still as sharp as the day I bought it.

I have had my trimmer for about 10-12 years and have not had to replace my blade. I have an extra one and it's still waiting in the wings.

My Genesis trimmer is the best scrapbook investment that I've ever made.

I remember being told you should never have to replace it, but if you noticed a difference in the quality of your cut maybe it was needed. No one can speak to what you are cutting but you.

Thanks... I started to get really jagged edges when cutting. I put the new one in and it cuts better but it's "harder" to use. I've been playing with the placement and I just can't get it right. Maybe I'll put the old one back in tonight just as a test.

I'm just amazed that after seven years and three houses I knew where that darn replacement blade was located in my scrapbook room.

I inherited my Mom's Genesis when she decided she didn't like scrapbooking any more. WTF? She had it for 6-7 years and I've had it for 1-2. Original blade still going strong!
