I know they did the 40% off sale on Black Friday. Is that just a once a year sale or do they do that a couple of times a year? How often do you change your blade and mat? Thanks for your help!

I am not sure about the Silhouette Store, but if you have an Archivers near you, they told me the other day that you can use their coupons for the mats and blades. I like being able to just pick those things up the same day that I need them and not having to wait forever to get them. My last order from the Silhouette Store took two weeks to get here. Granted, it was during their big sale, so I am sure they were overwhelmed with orders. It is just good to be able to get supplies fast when you need to.

Grab a coupon, go to Joann's and buy the 2 pack of the Cricut 12x24 mats and cut them. For around $12 you get 4 mats.

I have used the PC mats in both my original Silhouette for 5 years and now for the past year in my Cameo without any issues and they are so much cheaper. I hate to give PC any of my money but it is a heck of a price difference.

I've only used my Cameo twice so far, and I'm not at all familiar with Cricut mats, so maybe this question has an obvious answer, but how do you know where to line up your paper on the Cricut mats when using in the Cameo? Do you just use the original Cameo mat as a template?

Yes. I kept the mat that came with my Cameo. When I get the Cricut mats, I cut them at once and use the line guide on the Cameo mat to mark the Cricut mat with a straight edge and then cut it to exact size and again use the straight edge to mark the line where the paper should start on the mat.

I have honestly never had a problem. A lot of Peas use them because of the cost savings.
