A note to Glitter Girl:there is at least one thread this week about those who scrap two-page layouts. We two-page gals like to use more than one regular size photo on a page. I know you have shown some ideas in your videos for doing two-pagers,but not everyone has seen them,so would you please do a refresher on incorporating lots of photos into a multi-page layout?

Pretty sure Glitter Girl has seen and noticed those threads, but I'll double check with her just to be sure.

I started one of those threads, but it didn't occur to me to think of Glitter Girl, because I know she prefers the two 4x6 photos per 12x12 page ratio. For good reason, I might add.

I watched the 4x6 Photo Love series and have used several of those techniques recently (Did I get 20 4x6 photos AND copious amounts of journaling onto a two page spread? Why, yes. Yes, I did.)

But, if you think it's something that GG would like to address I would love to see her suggestions.

Actually, I would love to see GG address the question of how to adapt all the fabulous single layout inspiration out there into a two page layout that retains the design integrity.

Me too!! Me too!!! I only scrap two pages and find it hard to convert some of the beautiful things I see on here into two page layouts! What did Glitter Girl say when you spoke to her?

Oh, yes! Shimelle, please check that Glitter Girl has noticed the 2page plight! I do enjoy doing 1page layouts but I have so many photos that 2 pagers are always a better fit for me. Help us out with adapting.

I would love to see that too. And layouts with more than one or two photos... I have been thinking lately how much space all the albums take up.

Yes, that would be great! When I scrap 2 pagers, there's anywhere from 5-20 (wallet sized) pics, so I could use some inspiration.

A while ago I tried to link my version of the many photo layout to the 4x6 Photo Love episode. I was such a newbie I didn't understand about the shelf life of the challenges and that challenge was already long over, so I ended up not posting it.
I will put it on tomorrow.

Glitter Girl - yes, please! Would love more 2page inspirations.

pigsflying - I know what you mean! Sometimes, I have projects I would love to post but the class/workshop/challenge is over. Please do post your layout - I would love to see it!

I have a few posted in the 4x6 Photo Love Workshops that I was able to submit on time. Here's a 2pager I did:

Rock of Ages

Here's another 2pager with 11 photos. It's from Nichol's Celebrate the Seasons Class from 2009. Loved her class. It was jam-packed full of multi-photo 2page layouts although I never did seem to be able to submit those on time. lol

Have you seem the 4x6 Photo Love videos from a while back? I'm pretty sure there were some two-pagers in those.

10 photos

Yeah, I love the 4x6 photo love series.

I think there are a lot more scrappers out there that create two page layouts with lots of pictures than what we think. In fact, just about everyone I know creates two page layouts with multiple photos. I think a lot of us dont upload our layouts to gallaries bc they are not "works of art" with one picture and $$$ of embellishments. That's just my opinion though.

ITA with Scrappin3boys! I am primarily a 2 page/multi-photo scrapper who uses more pictures & journaling than product. My focus is more memory keeping than "work of art."

I tend to stick to Allison Davis & Scrapbook Generation sketches because they suit my style but I would to see what Glitter Girl would do with 2 page/multi-photo layouts.

I tend to agree. I uploaded a 2-page layout with 15 pictures a few months ago, but it got a lot less positive feedback than some 1- or 2-photo pages I've done.

But when I'm scrapping my eleventygajillion photos of my toddler, I simply don't have the space to make every layout a one-page, one photo work of art!

I noticed in the gallery that a lot of the two pagers are actually PL week spreads. they are cute, but I am looking for actual layouts.

Another 2-page scrapper checking in. I need ideas on how to stretch a single, discontinued sheet of paper across both pages so the effect is a visually unified look. The only bad thing about using up the stash is when you have one sheet (and need two) of a no longer available pattern or manu. Help!

Here is how I used one piece of patterned paper on a two page spread. This is how I often do it...

(nevermind - i cant get the link to work)

I wish paper designers should think about a double-sided design that would allow the pattern to carry across two pages so you could use one side of the paper on the left and the other side on the right without it looking like two completely different pieces of paper.

Archivers can print 12x12 sheets that look just like the original paper, and they offer half price on Tuesday. I drove 35 miles recently to the nearest Archivers, but I really needed that second sheet.

Hi Pelly - if you only have one sheet, cut it in half (or 1/3 or 1/4) and stretch it across the 2 pages. Another option is to cut it up and use pieces or strips of it on both pages. I think it helps tie the 2 pages together. Here are some samples of what I'm talking about:

Halloween layout

cycling layout

book signing layout

celebrate layout

Hope that helps - let me know if you have any questions and have fun making your 2pagers!

I agree. I scrap with a group and all of us do two page layouts. 90% of my pages are 2 pagers.

Off to check out some of the links in this thread!

Please add my name to the list of 2-page scrappers. This thread has made my day - have bookmarked all of the scrappers with layouts here for ideas etc. I was beginning to think I was one of the few people who actually preferred 2-page layouts - so much more room for photos and storytelling!

I also prefer 2 pagers but the past couple months I have done a few 1 pagers but I still prefer my 2 pagers. I just like the way they look in my albums and I like that I can get more than 1 or 2 pics on a layout. I would love to see more 2 pagers in the gallery.

I went to a crop this weekend and said something about being primarily a 2-page girl and I opened one of my 2012 albums and discovered that I have far more 1-page layouts than I thought I did. So I counted.

I started watching videos and following blogs about six months ago.

In the first six months of 2012 I have 1 pair of single pages out of 20 face to face pairs of layouts.
In the second six months I have 7 pairs of single page layouts out of 16 face to face pairs of layouts.

Apparently I am far more flexible than I thought I was.
