I got a Corner Chomper for christmas (yellow handle 1/8 & 3/8). I wanted it to round the corners in my PL album. However, it won't cut cleanly through printed pictures. It sort of tears through the printed top layer, but doesn't cut through the white backing paper. Has anyone else had this issue?

Seems like lots of people have problems with that one. I was going to get it but then I saw the Amazon reviews |

I have the blue handled one but similar issues. It only seems to punch cleanly with thicker items, like chipboard. Cardstock, patterned paper and photos it never punches cleanly.

Hmm mine has the blue handle and works ok. Maybe the yellow handle is not so good?

I have the round corners with the mint green handles. I went and tried it with copy paper, it doesn't cut as clean with thinner items. But it has always cut good with cardstock, chipboard and matboard. Try "sharpening" it with foil like someone above mentioned.
I may have dulled mine with the thicker stuff. I've never used it with anything thinner than cardstock before, I have plenty of corner rounders better for that. I bought mine for matboard! |

The cutting surface is plastic so foil doesn't help. I think the issue is actually that the cuffing surface isn't lined up correctly. Aka, yeah mine is crap too. I have tried cutting thicker materials and that doesn't help. My green handled ones are awesome, as is the 1/8 radius that I don't care for. I emailed the company and they replied asking for pictures which I gave them... Five weeks ago. So far I am not terribly impressed with their CS. Such a bummer when the product is as pricey as it is, and the only one I have found that actually matches the PL corners.
