This is making me seriously consider switching from 8.5x11 to 12x12.

Which would be a real shame since I've already spend >$50 on 8.5x11" PLUS cut up a whole bunch of cards... but I LOVE designs 5-9.

Simple Stories is 'quite simply' the most innovative company on the market today. For me it has changed the way I scrap, and made me happy to scrap again.

Do we know if these sizes are true? I only ask because I got a 6x8 snap binder for my JYC2012 album and it is driving me batty that 6x8 isn't 6x8 and 4x6 isn't 4x6. They are larger. I DON'T want to mat all of my photos. I want to be able to slip photos in the protectors and have them be done and good to go.

I told myself I would never buy another snap album because I really felt lied to about this, but I do like the look of the new layouts.

Love the variety of Page Protectors! I was going to buy a big pack of Becky Higgin's style A + B, but now I might just buy a small pack or two to get me through the release of Simple Story's pages.

Thought I should pop in and make a small correction. We're going to time the release of the Sketch Fusion book with the release of the three new Simple Stories collections. So, it's looking like early March, with the slight chance of late February.

Sorry I was misinforming, Debbie! I got the January release from the SG website I believe. I'll update my post above to reflect the right info.

You're right about that, Erika -- we had orginally thought SS would be shipping immediately after the show. Can't tell you how relieved we were to find out we had a bit more time!

I have customers with the same questions and have asked home office. Will let you know what I find out.

Thanks in advance for checking!!

You got it! Here's what I found out:

The new 6x8 leather album will feature the same page protectors as the original 6x8 chipboard Sn@p album.

The reason the slots are slightly larger is so you can embellish photos, SS cards, Sn@p cards, etc and still have room to fit them in the pockets. Also so the Simple Stories pockets will fit in them. I know that doesn't work for everyone but that at least is the thought process behind it.

I asked if the 12x12 leather albums and page protectors will be made by WRMK or someone else? She said they'll be made by Simple Stories. They'll be "as true to size as possible given the manufacturing process and the seams."

For example, the current WMRK page protectors with the 2x12 slot is actually about 2 1/2 x 12. This can be aggravating in that you have to add something onto the end of the 2x12 strip to make it stay in the slot (or add some kind of closure). But that's really unavoidable because if you stack 3 horizontal 4x6 slots PLUS the seam in between them, it adds up to more than a perfect 12 inches in height. Does that make sense? So that's what is meant by the above.

Hope that all helps!
