I finally reached my 15% discount about a month ago and now twopeas changed it to ths point system and I lost my %15 its at %5 now and I have a longggggg way to get back to %15 that's so not right! I should have had it for at least a year like stated and or they should have figured out a way to grandfather in that had just recieved it prior to this change! I've spent over $2,000 here in just a little time I need that %15 that's the main reason why I only shop here and nowhere else!! & of course this just has to happen right before all the new CHA releases! Ughhh I'm soo annoyed!! |

YIKES, I had no idea they changed the program. I also had been at the 15% mark, and just checked and I'm down to 5%.
So let me get this right--if I spend $5,000 on full price items, I'll then earn 15% discount? That's a lot of money to spend.
I understand sale/discontinued items will earn lower points, but doesn't the amount you spend on sale/discounted items impact the amount towards free shipping?

I certainly feel that without my 10% discount two peas will have a tough time competing with other places that offer flat rate shipping to internationals. I want to support a company that offers so much for free but I am so gutted to have lost that customer loyalty discount so suddenly and without warning. |

Ya know, here's another thing--2Peas used to never lock threads. I get it's their business, and their site, and are free to do whatever they want. Quite a few threads have been locked/deleted in the past months. Not cool.
Just yesterday I'm on here saying how much I love this place, and I do. But I also spent a LOT of money hear, both in product and workshops. I've bought almost every single workshop they put out, and also earned the 15% discount. To say I'm disappointed would be an understatement.
So there...I got that all out before this thread disappears or gets locked. |

So let's see, I want to buy a $15 stamp set, and I'll get a 5% discount, $.75 off, and have to wait a week to get it.
OR...I can buy it from Amazon, for $15, and get it within 2 days with my Prime Shipping.
OR...I can go to Archivers, use my 30% off coupon, saving $4.50, and have it the SAME day.
Hmmm...which way should I go????? |

While I understand that 2peas is a business first and foremost I don't think that they seem to understand this is a hobby for most of us. So the money we spend here is disposable income that we are trying to stretch as much as possible. Taking away discounts, charging a small fortune for shipping and being a bit higher priced than competitors isn't helping anyone stretch their dollar. I for one like to get the most bang for my buck and it doesn't seem that 2peas is the place to do that anymore

I think 2Peas' shipping prices are really reasonable. They are definitely the cheapest out of everywhere I shop, and have the lowest amount to spend for free shipping. |

Jamie said in her announcement:
>You can now earn points simply by being active in our community, which
>I know so many of you are! This change rewards not only the shopper,
>but the crafter who loves to chat with other crafters, share their
>work in our gallery, etc. We value your presence and participation
>here, and our new program reflects that.
I just posted a reply above and went to see what happened to my Customer Loyalty Program points: no change (same points as before I posted a reply.) I thought posting a reply here is a kind of being "active" but I seem to have been wrong. So now I'm wondering - what does "being active in our community" and "chat with other crafters" mean?

So not happy about this change AND the way it was not presented to "loyal customers". I have been shopping almost exclusively with 2 peas for over a year now and had earned the 15% discount. With the new plan as of today I have 19,558 points, amounting to 5% off. Based solely off of points through purchasing product, I will have to spend another $3044.20 to reach the 15% discount and THEN to maintain that level I will have to spend $$417.00 each month in order to keep it.
Uhm. As another poster stated, while I know this is a business and businesses are in business to make money. This is a HOBBY for almost all of us here. I get that we can choose to spend the $ or not, but I am willing to guess that most will go to other online stores that offer better shipping times and costs as well as discount codes.
I can think of several online retailers that offer FREE shipping after a certain amount spent, not discounted shipping that takes forever and a day just to reach us.
And why not just start shopping straight from the manufacturers? I know of several that you can just purchase directly from their own online store.
Well, Scrapbook.com, A Cherry on Top, Simons Says Stamp, Blue Moon Scrapbooking, My Scraps and More and Studio Calico guess it's your lucky day!! I'll be back to shopping with you right quick. Especially with CHA right around the corner.
Boo to you Two Peas for not valuing your "loyal customers" enough to even send out an email prior to making this change on the sly and then waiting for it to blow up in your face and then make a sticky about it when everyone catches on. |

I'm definitely disappointed. I was up to 10% and I don't even qualify for a discount anymore.
However, I do like the site and will continue to use it free everyday and will be interested to see how to "earn" points by being an active member. |

I agree .. Even though they said that they kept the program the same for a number of year this is a HUGE hike in comparison... Like all of a sudden going to buy gas and its 13 bucks a gallon. I understand a change will happen.
The locking the thread so quickly bothers me as well... At least keep it open a whole day so people are able to post their feelings about it. It feels more like ya we get what your saying and enough about it.
I did love the old system ... And I did purchase a ton of stuff here because of the loyalty program. I did like that I was able to stack discounts.
I understand this is a business and you can do whatever you want in that regard.

So now I'm wondering - what does "being active in our community" and "chat with other crafters" mean?
It might not be automated. Perhaps they give points to people that they feel deserve an extra reward? In either way, I don't think that they have that reward system in place yet. I logged in with the iPhone app, just to check if something would happen, and didn't see any change in my score either.
I don't care about those 'activity points' anyway because chasing points by being active is way too time consuming in comparison to how many cents that would potentially earn you per hour of activity. lol! It is a part of a very trendy concept right now, it's called "gamification" of web sites and every business want that!
But I'm active here because I enjoy it so much and it's one of my favorite places to hang out online, not because I might earn a few points.

I have never shopped @ 2 peas - too expensive for me & most everything I buy comes from HobLob or Michaels with a coupon & then a bit from the LSS....
In my case giving me loyalty points to the site just 'cause I've been a member for 9 yrs is a total waste! Maybe I can share the points??
I can see why your mad - I would be too....

Probably you shouldn't drop our discounts sooooo much? I've had 15% - now only 5%. If I could have at least 10% now, I wouldn't be so upseted.
PLUS I'm from Russia and postage is really expensive, you have no any shiping discounts for international customers with big orders as other scrap stores do (for example, Simon, Bluemoon and Emma's papier). My 15% discount was the main reason I was your "loyal" customer. Now I'll think twice before place any order and start searching for other places (with at least shiping discounts).
(Sorry my bad English, I hope you'll understand what I mean)

I've been a member of 2 peas for quite a few years. I've just started responding to threads in the past year, was a "lurker" before that. I'm not very computer savvy so I've never uploaded any projects or entered any challenges, but I'm here participating daily and most of my shopping is done here. The 15% loyalty was a fantastic perk that influenced my spending. Now, with this new rewards plan, that fantastic perk is gone and I will never get it back since I can't see me spending my crafting time trying to figure out how to "upload" projects I no longer have time to make. Very disappointed.

I agree. Maybe shipping price is based on distance (I really don't know), but I'm not too far away from them so it's not expensive at all. And other sites want you to spend $75, $100 or more for free shiping.
But I'm not happy about the points. I'm trying to be understanding that they are a business and need to do this, but a little notice would have been nice and I think for those of us who were loyalty customers we should have been allowed the discount until our rolling 12-months were up. |

Bummer. It would have been nice for some announcement like "effective February 1 (or Jan. 15 or whatever date they chosen) our loyalty plan is changing" so people could make any last purchases with their current discounts. They are probably wanting to clear out some product so new CHA items can be stocked, and people could have felt like they took advantage of their current loyalty perks before the change.

I have been shopping more here because I was getting closer to the discount, but I can go back to my other places now:
My Scraps & More (also has a loyalty program & super fast & cheap shipping)
Bluemoon (free PRIORITY shipping after $50 & great customer service)
Simon Says Stamps (Fast shipping and lots of promotions/discounts)
So, to say that "everybody else has changed and 2 peas has stayed the same, blah, blah, blah"... nope, don't think so. |

Well, to get the 15% discount back I was able to use in December, I need about 42,000 points. So, if I earn the 1,000 points hinted at for something during the CHA social this weekend, then I'll need 41,000 points.
Oh, and while looking at the program again, those at the "low" end of the Loyalty Program, a Bronze level with 7,500 points, they aren't even able to take advantage of whatever special promotions and advanced sale notices there might be? |

I sympathize greatly with the efforts and troubles with running a business! Both my parents and DH's father have their own business, and I know it is not easy. However, as a faithful customer (and you all KNOW how much I LOVE 2Peas!!) I do feel slighted and hurt by the sudden, and DRASTIC change. I would be so much more understanding if there had been:
1) warning given. I'd liked to have placed one last order with my 15% discount! Or, better yet -- to be grandfathered in for my last rolling 12 months at my current discount.
2) have the change be not so great.
I am looking forward to hearing the other ways points can be earned. I have seen other scrapbooking websites that offer points by posting on the message board, uploading to the gallery, or by finding hidden "eggs" in their store, but frankly -- the slow rate of accumulating those points did not provide much incentive to me.

I have no dog in this fight, and although I adore twopeas? Most of my scrapbook shopping was done at HL, Michaels, Archivers (sorry, but they are so close to me, for once!) ... and I would get my doodlebug stuff at HappyNScrappin.com which always had it discounted, I think 10-15%? ... and free shipping at least once a month off of $25. (sadly they closed.)
But to have to spend $320+ a MONTH???? To get this discount? That's outrageous! I scrapbook for a living!!! And don't even spend that much! . Wowsers!
But I am giving them the benefit of doubt here. If it's the 2peas I know, they will figure out something, and hopefully make this right. I have always heard they have excellent customer service. I understand why so many shop here. The atmosphere of the store is amazing! This community that we have built, and they (2peas) have nutured, is one in a million!!!
But no matter how great their message board is, or their customer service, imo, they need to have even a flat 5% off product. They don't have any competitive edge compared to the other online stores. 5% wouldn't kill them.
I feel for you shoppers here. I have faith that 2peas will make this right. |

I have to admit I didn't even know about the program until Peas started mentioning that it had changed... I had been hoping that with the new year and other things they were introducing, that they'd start a loyalty program I'd love to have reasons to be loyal but with international shipping and duties, my total cost ends up being 140-150% of the product cost... I'd try and participate in the weekly challenges - $5 didn't offset the costs a great deal, but psychologically it helped... If I'm understanding it right, the challenges have changed so that there will be one $10 prize awarded per month, instead of one $5 per week... I don't know anything about running a scrapbooking store so I can't guess why the changes, and I don't understand all the costs they have... Speaking just as a customer, it feels like they're taking back "little" things, and that feeling sucks... I wish the changes had been announced and presented in a way that no one could've missed hearing about them - if there's news I'm not going to like at least don't let me stumble on it myself... Hopefully they'll keep adding ways to earn gift cards, discounts, giveaways, etc... I'd love if there were a couple sales a year that let you double or triple your discount for one order, or a special discount on your birthday/Pea joining anniversary... Some sort of carrot to keep me going |

Oh, and while looking at the program again, those at the "low" end of the Loyalty Program, a Bronze level with 7,500 points, they aren't even able to take advantage of whatever special promotions and advanced sale notices there might be?
That has been bothering me, too. It makes me sad that you can count as a loyal customer but still not be allowed in on "special" offers. You have to spend at least $1,500 to get those offers. And I'm not even close to the Bronze level (a couple of days ago I had 10% and was halfway back to 15% ).
But again, it's 2peas' decision, not mine. If it were up to me and my business, I would probably not have done anything to upset my most loyal and frequent customers. lol! If any customer segment, you'd like to keep those happy!

So, I was at the 10% discount level...obviously that's gone. But can you help a confused pea out? Where am I supposed to be seeing points? I've tried looking all through my account info and don't see anything.

I visit 2Ps DAILY but as my post counter would indicte, I am mostly a lurker. I do periodically post my LOs in the gallery, but I have purchased from 2Ps pretty regularly (enough to have been eligible for the 15% discount). I am VERY disappointed to learn of the new "loyalty" policy. I already know that under the new stipulations I will NEVER EVER again be eligible for the 15% discount that I got up until yesterday.
I have never had any issues with shipping cost and I have always received my packages within three days of them being shipped (even with Surepost). The few issues that I have ever had have always been resolved to my satisfaction and in a timely manner. In short, I have enjoyed shopping here, but this SUDDEN and DRASTIC change in the "loyalty" policy leaves a very bitter taste in my mouth. I understand the store's statement and it's right to change their policy at will and without warning but one pea stated something to the effect of "loyalty should be a two-way street" and I couldn't agree more. The way this whole thing was handled doesn't leave me feeling very rewarded for my loyalty. I commented on yesterday's thread that 5% is 5% so MAYBE I should be grateful for that, but under the circumstances I'm sorry, but grateful is NOT what I am feeling. |

If you click on the Store link above, or at least hover over it, you'll see a sub-link for Customer Loyalty Program. When you click it, you'll see what your points are. |

Thanks, devildog. I was just coming back to say I found it. Looks like I'd have to spend another $2600 to get back to the 10%. No thanks.
The discount wasn't the main reason I shopped here, but it was a nice perk. I understand business is business, but if even your most loyal customers are crying foul, you've shot yourself in the foot.
