Hello GG,
I love the way you use the triangle design principle.

as well as the diagonal line for the embellishments on your pages.

I have used both of these principles on my pages after watching ans listening to the GG videos

I was wondering if there are other design principles that you can teach us.

Thanks for all the things you share with us! You are an inspiration to me every day!

Jo

I was wondering about this too! Glitter girl also did one on grounding, which is definitely one of my absolute favorite adventures.

Have you read the Design School class on the 2peas blog! It's awesome. Just google it. I REALLY think they should offer a design school class. I think it would go over well since SOOOO many people are always asking about it.

Yes, please.

Giving a shout-out to Two Peas and Shimelle...we asked and you listened. On Dec. 28 GG Jill Fevvers opened the thread, "Less and More: What Would You Like to See in 2013?" Within a few days Shimelle gave us a video including four of the six requests from the pea below (me).

More process videos:
With explainations and why the design works;
Mix of old and new product-we will actually purchase more when using up our stash;
Multi-photos on one page;
Two-page layout or two-page coordinating layouts;
Using products in the Pea store on a layout like HS photo stack, folders, etc.

Thanks again Two Peas and Shimelle!

I learned design principles in High School in my Visual Communication and Design, and my multimedia classes. I think they are really interesting and would love to see them applied to scrapbooking. There have been some videos and things which I have loved but more is also good.

I think this is a good topic that is something everyone can use! No matter your budget or style, design is always important.

Maybe this could be Shimelle's next 2Ps workshop, following on from Hitchhikers?

I would suggest to the OP that Shimelle does discuss design principles often as a part of her explanation of the process, so check out some of her other glitter girl videos, and the 4x6 love class from 2011, where she talks about the page design in more detail often at the start, why the number of photos she is using works with that page layout design.

Unless I'm looking at the wrong spot on her website, this class isn't actually free. You can't access the videos without a membership which is $12.50 a month. If there is a direct link to the class that you are talking about, do you have that?

Indeed good question; there are so many tips and tricks for layout, compositions,...
I got another tip for the compositions of your title/point of interest and the way people look or walk.

I explain e little with a random picture from Google:

Here it it will be more beautiful I tu put the picture on the left side of de page and to put your title on the right, because your eyes follow the way the person looks/walk.

I wonder for more of these tips too!

Design principles are something I am really wanting to implement more in my scrapbooking and I would love to see GG do more videos about it.
