Have you ever thought about a possible correlation between how you accessorize yourself and how you accessorize your scrapbook pages?!
I'm in the process of doing a 5-year journal, courtesy of Debbie Hodge at Get It Scrapped!, and today's question was "What is your favorite accessory?" Well, being the practical person that I am, the only "accessory" I wear are my very necessary eyeglasses. And then it hit me like a ton of bricks: Maybe that's why I struggle to "accessorize" my scrapbook pages. It's not who I am, and I'm really going against my natural grain.
Just wondering if anyone else ever considered this question. Could someone look at you and tell what kind of pages you prefer (simple vs. lumpy and bumpy, for instance)?

This makes a lot of sense. The only things I accessorize with are glasses and a handbag.
I love the look of lots embellishment but have such a hard doing that on my own pages. Maybe this is why I have not found my own style, maybe I don't have one.lol. | |
