I'm looking for a white ink pad that shows up really well on dark/kraft cardstock. I bought a white chalk Recollections brand ink pad today, and I can barely see it on my kraft cardstock. so I was wondering, what is the best dye or chalk white ink pad for dark paper? TIA!

I really like the one from papertrey ink. It works great on Kraft.

I would think Staz-on white would work well.

I'm not 100% sure of the name of mine but it is a Cat's Eye stamp pad. That may be the name. There was a stack of ink pads in metallics, black and white. I have used the white on kraft and dark colors and loved it!

Thanks for all the suggestions. I didn't see that they sell Staz On here, so where would be the best place to buy it from? I know my M's doesn't carry it.

Stampin Up's pigment white is my favorite. Haven't tried the Stazon though.

Jennifer McGuire did a video on her favorite inks:

Favorite Inks

She does a great job explaining, and then giving samples, of different ink pads, and shows what works great on what. About 10 minutes in she goes into white inks.

Colorbox white frost (and you can get it at any craft store)

The Papertrey Ink one is good too but expensive + shipping.

StazOn white isn't as vivid and bright.

LOVE the Stampin Up white! I got mine from eBay, and LOVE it! I have tried many, including Stazon and others listed here, and I much prefer SU! Beautiful, crisp white!

I'm so glad I found this post! I was wondering the same thing! Looks like I'll be purchasing Color Box Frost White (I've also seen Ali Edwards use this ink pad directly on photos, so this is a must), Stampin' UP!'s white ink pad, and a Staz On white ink pad! Can't have too many, right?!

I have had the best luck with Color Box frost white pigment ink. I find that all the white inks I have tried all dull a bit when they dry and that if I really want my image to stand out and be a bright white that it is better to stamp with either the frost white pigment ink or versamark and use white embossing powder.

I really don't care for the StazOn white. It seems like you have to re-ink every time and you don't really get a crisp image (IMHO). I love the colorbox and I think I have the hero one Jennifer McGuire talks about

Here's my fave but just a note....it takes a very long time to dry and it stays a tiny bit tacky to the touch. But I love it with kraft!

I've heard that Tsukineko Versamagic white is best.
