|Posted: 1/17/2013 3:42:58 AM|1st can someone tell me why company's are starting to put double of the same letter on one alpha stamp set? I have seen it with the new set here at twopeas & some of the new tt Ali Edwards ones.. There's double a,e,I,o,u and maybe some other letters?? The only reason I can think of is when stamping a word you don't have to just stamp one letter at a time they put extra so you can easily spell out the whole word at once and stamp it like that? That's all I could think off and btw there not lower and upper it's all either upper case the same or lower case the same like double stamp sets on one stamp sheet! I'd prefer upper and lower on one stamp sheet!
Second.. Why does american crafts & partner company's put double p.papers in there collection kits except for maybe one or two different pp ? Example.. Crate paper fourteen there's two off every design except for the aqua chevron and one other .. And studio calico darling dear there's quit a few with only one paper? Drives me nuts because it always seems to be the one I like most lol.. I guess it's so you get more different pp's?
(Sry for the double questions on one post I didn't wanna create two different mb threads)

Yes, it's so you can line up an entire word without stamping one letter at a time.
As for the double sided paper, I have no idea.

I'm just guessing but I think with the AC collection packs they want to have all collection packs be the same price, so same number of papers in each. But some collections have more papers than others so some get left out.

That's a good theory never thought about it! At first when I opened crate papers fourteen collection I thought I got a mistake or something lol then i counted the papers and was like hmm that's odd lol

I think some of the papers are considered speciality papers too so those do not get doubled.

Some people like to spell out a full word with alpha stamps and rubber band them together to stamp at the same time. The extra vowels help make this happen.
|Posted: 1/17/2013 7:08:12 AM|I've never heard of that or seen it.. Wow! Thanks I just learned something new.. At first I had no clue what you were talking about because I was refuring to the clear acrylic sets, & I'm like how the heck do you rubber band those together lol. I never would think to rubber band the wood blocks together thats an awesome idea.. Especially with the small single alphas there always such a pain to try and stamp one by one and get it even! Thanks! Can't wait to try it..

I like stamps sets that have multiple letters on them. More so the vowels. I need extras of those all the time. I'd buy those before I'd buy two of the same set which I often do.
As for the pp I bothers me to when all the sheets aren't in the collection.

I know it drives me nuts too.. You would think when you buy a collection kit it would have all the pp's in that collection in the kit .. I can see why they don't include things like vellum and glitter paper and other papers on that line.. But I can't see why they don't include some papers.. Going back to the fourteen collection again or crate paper in general they never include there cut a part pages like tags.. Most other company's do and I always forget about it and have to make another purchase! I always wished that company's would come out with a collection kit that included everything in that particular collection that would make my life so much easier because most of the time I seem to always buy the entire collection anyways!

I learned something new too. Thanks for the tip about rubber banding!

With clear stamps especially you can stamp whole phrases by lining them up on your table and then just placing your block on top to pick it up. I use a Fiskar's press which has grid lines right on it. I love extra letters on alpha sets!
As for the collections, I am more annoyed when a paper isn't in the collection pack at all. I can't see to figure out what I am missing!

I like the extra vowels, i think it is easier.
re: collection packs - i dont know why the dont just tell you on their websites what is in and what is out of the pack, so we can buy accordingly! it seems so obvious as a consumer.

I agree.. That's the one complaint I always have is there's never any discription as to what the product is or what's included it annoys me, especially with new things and you kinda wanna know what your buying instead of guessing! I remember one time I bought a alpha wood set by hero arts on studio Calios website and in the picture all it shows is the letters no packaging or anything else and of course no discription like usual on there site so when I bought it I thought it was gonna be a bigger set with like 1 inch or less letter size, nope they are tiny tiny little alphas (that are a b****'to use might I add) lol I was so disappointed! So it would be nice if they gave a discription or atleast some kinda info, studio calico is the worste with that! & I don't have a LSS so I have no choice other then to buy online because ms stinks they never carry anything other then there recollections brand!
