I am not interested in lots of difficult or expensive stuff, just some simple tips and ideas for taking photos in a cheap and easy way, where they look sufficient for posting to 2peas to share, even if they are not good enough for posting in a glossy mag!
Thanks!

I just lay them on the floor stand a above and shoot. I use Picassa to crop as close as I can to the actual lo. I can easily add text too if I want. Then I just upload and done.
I recently added a bunch and was surprised how easy it could be.

I don't take "extra" photos of parts of the lo. Just 1 photo per lo to upload.

It's hard for me to get a light enough photo. Most of the pics in my gallery are much darker than IRL and therefore the colors are a bit off. It's not too hard to load to the gallery, but all the tagging is kind of a pain - especially looking for brands. They aren't listed in alphabetical order on my phone app!

I have started loading a few, mostly cards to the gallery, but my "Layout" count hasn't moved since the first time I uploaded. LOL Whatever.

I've just started doing this too, I never used to upload but am trying to be more active in the challenges to get me using my stuff better. I put it on a flat surface and shoot from above, but my first few haven't had great light, it's hard trying not to get a shadow on it or light reflecting on the photos! I edit mine quickly in Photoshop to straighten it out and correct the colours, then save for web to upload. I want to try and get them a bit better though...

Thanks for the advice! I'm definitely going to put them on the floor next time, sounds like an easy way to get the edges square

This is what I do. I have a nice square bar stool in my kitchen that I put the LO on. I move the stool over by the sliding glass door to get some natural light.

Then I take a picture from above the LO with my iphone using the shoebox app. It is meant to take pictures of pictures. It gives a suggested crop line around the LO. Then I can adjust the crop by lining up the crosses with the edges of the LO. Next step is you want to is to rotate the photo of the LO. Then you can add info and share it to their database, but I always make mine private.

Then you could upload to 2Peas using their app (which did not give me credit by the way ). Or I send it to the dropbox app and then upload it from my computer.

I really like the shoebox app, because it does a lot of the cropping for you. Plus it's a free app.

Heck, I do with my phone so it can't be too difficult.

I think the key to success if having an overcast day. Take it outside and the crop out any extemporaneous stuff.

Keep it simple.

Thanks for the overcast and shoebox app ideas, I will try both of these. I want to find a simple method and all of these ideas are terrific.
