Does anyone have a preference over the other? I subscribe to Studio Calico but I just saw a Jenni Bowlin kit layout that was amazing.

Is it worth it to get both?

I love JB products but I have always been delighted with Studio Calico. I like the mix of products that you get with SC.

I subbed to Jenni for a long time. The style of her kits is very different than SC kits. It really depends on your personal preference. Sc kits are more graphic and ecelctic whereas JBS kits are more timeless in general.

They are both beautiful kit clubs-and I like them both for different reasons. I would say, though, that it somewhat depends on your style of scrapping. In my opinion, Jenni's kits are more vintage/girly, and Studio Calico kits are more graphic/contemporary/even a bit boyish (or at least, more suited to scrappers with boys). So yes, they are pretty different in my opinion. If your budget/time allows, they are both great clubs!

I can't link the Jenni Bowlin kit club because I'm on my phone but you can google it.

Elphalba, hi! I'm on the JBS Mercantile kit team. I'm so glad to hear you are considering us! I got the kits for two years before I got on the team and now I've been there about a year and a half and I've been very happy as a customer and a designer! I did want to mention we have a special going right now - but it's only good through the end of the month.

Our Special:
Sign up for a JBS Mercantile kit subscription and get a 15 dollar gift code for a future purchase. Keep the membership for three months and get another 15 dollar gift code. Already a member? Refer a friend and you and your friend will both receive this offer! New members must email us through the "contact us" link to inform us of the referring members name. Gift codes are good for 30 days from the issue date.

Come over and check out the blog and the Mercantile site and we have a message board there too. And we love to play games with our kits

I buy both SC kits and JBS Mercantile kits. They are both good and wonderful!

I think the JBS kits are a little more unique than other kit clubs out there, because of the vintage flair and because Jenni often includes a cool vintage find in the main kit! Plus, there are actually four kits each month, two you can subscribe to and then two add-ons. The antiquarian kit is amazing!!! And there is a project kit if you like mini albums or other "off the page" projects.

The main JBS Mercantile Papercrafting kit also comes with an exclusive stencil/mask each month and a stamp, and then the co-ordinarily digital download files. You can use the download files either for printing or for cutting on your Cameo.

I adore the look of the JB kits but it just is not my style, do you ever really like the look of something but can not make it work your self?

SC for me the kits are so usable and more my style

I say you will be happy with either one as they both great

^^this

I subbed to Jenni for several months and I've always liked her kits but SC's kits are more usable ( I'm still a subber there) . JB's are very vintage classic kits while SC's and Cocoa Daisy's are very trendy.

Although I love SC's products and kits, the customer service at JB is much quicker/better than SC's if that's important to you.

Thanks for bringing this up. I took a class from Jenni way back in the day at CKU, and have always loved her style...I'm thinking I may take advantage of the promo. I have an eclectic style, so both SC and JB appeal to me.
