Posted: 1/20/2013 7:05:06 AM to sew on your pages? I bought all sorts of colors while living overseas and it's all crap. It keeps breaking from the spool. I don't think it's a tension problem, I think it's the thread. Who has the best price for thread, J's, HL?....

Posted: 1/20/2013 7:21:36 AM I am new to sewing but I just bought the "all purpose" thread from Joann when I had a 25% off entire purchase coupon. I think it was around $2/spool. It has not broken yet! I know, not terribly helpful.

I use an all purpose thread too. Do you think your bobbin is getting stuck or pulling somehow? That would cause the thread to break.
