hello!! So I really want the October Afternoon Midway Sprinklers colors, they are so pretty but I have a problem. The only other sprinklers I have are the set that came with the white doily color, buttercream and paperbag and a kraft-like color and I never use them because they settle to the bottom and with no amount of shaking will mix up. They just don't. The bottom is a thick layer and then just liquid. I'm scared to buy these newer ones I want because I am wondering if this is just how Sprinklers are? Are they almost impossible to mix and hard to use? Maybe I just got a bad batch? Please, any tips or info would be great. I should say I have a ton of Mister Hueys and have never had this problem, only with my few Sprinklers. thanks!! | |

Contact OA about the batch you have. They shouldn't separate like that. |

Mine definitely separate. But when I go to use them I give them a good shake, and I tap the bottom against the palm of my hand to get the paint to mix and everything is good. |

Some of them separate and some don't. The ones that separate tend to be more opaque, and the ones that don't are more like ink. It does take a good shake for them to go back into solution! |

Can't you just shake them up and remix them? That's what I do with the ones I make |

I've found that if I shake them well (even though the bottom has stuff on it) they still spray great for me. OA sprinklers are my fave mists! |

The heidi swapp color mist are like that they settle to the bottom, but there easy to shake up because they have the little metal balls in them.. Like you would see in a nail polish bottle. If your having a hard time getting the color to mix you can buy those metal balls and add them to your bottles! I remember when I got into making my own nail polish I used them.. You can either buy them online (do a google search) eBay sells them, or a cheaper way would be to buy bb's from Walmart but just make sure there the smaller ones and that there zink free! I live in NJ and bb guns are not legal here but the stores still sell the pelates! HTH
Btw.. If you do happen to pick some up... Depending on how small they are your gonna wanna make sure you add atleast 2 maybe 3 to each bottle! |
