Do you use the old cricut mat in Cameo?
The cricut's mat is a little bit thicker than the one for Cameo. I have a bunch of them and I will like to use them but I dont want break my Cameo...

I just recently used my Cricut mat with my cameo because it was the closest mat I had within reach and was too lazy to look for my cameo mat.

It worked just fine.

Ive only had my cameo since Thanksgiving but I have read several threads with people saying they do it. I sold my cricut and bought the cameo. I had just opened a new cricut mat and didn't wanna waste it so its all I have used in my cameo. It works great, granted I can't compare it to the silhouette mat yet. But it works just fine.

It works, but I had to cut some off the top. I held my Silhouette mat to it and lined it up to do this. Otherwise, it seems to work just fine.

I wondered about this, too. But the problem is that the Cricut mat paper placement does not match up with the Cameo one, so it's not going to cut where it shows on the Studio software. Might be harder to figure out paper & image placement.

Yes. A lot of people use Cricut mats because they're easier to get, or because they just like them better than the Silhouette mats. I use the large Circut mats when I need a bigger cutting surface but for the most part, I do use my Silhouette mats.

I had the SD and I ALWAYS used cricut mini mats- I cant get the SIL mats locally, and the cricut mini mats were the perfect size.
