I feel like I see it everywhere, but I've never used it. What makes it so special?
I should note that I have an entire drawer full of adhesive, and a pink ATG, so I probably shouldn't even be looking into anything new, but I'm still curious!

Its usually very strong, easy to use and when used on plastic items, it comes of cleanly. I use it for things like iphone chargers for DD, who requires everything to be glittered. |

It's really strong adhesive and easy to apply once you stick it down.. You can't get it up like the ATG. I use it for binding mini albums it works great and I have never had a problem with binding coming apart like most other tapes, but other then that I'm not sure what else to use it for.. Lol ATG works god for everything else! |

It comes on a big roll, and I think it's double sided?

Yes, it's double-sided, & the liner is red (& also sticks via static electricity to your hands & everything else). Its name branded as "Terrifically Tacky Tape" by Provo Craft, I believe. It's also ridiculously expensive compared to the white, paperbacked version made by Sookwang and called Scor-Tape by most people. The huge price difference is because of how little comes on a roll of the red stuff (some number of feet) vs 27 yards or so on the Scor-Tape, which costs about 4 cents a yard. You can also tear Scor-Tape by hand, while the red tape has to be cut with scissors.
That's probably more than anybody ever wanted to know about THAT topic! |

M's has their own brand if this tape, too. It's not so badly priced, especially if you use a coupon. I love this tape for projects like covering chipboard for mini albums because its super strong, and because I'm wet glue challenged. it's a bit excessive for everyday scrapbook LO's, though, especially if they're in a page protector. |

It is the strongest tape I have found. It is great for putting things together like boxes but it is almost impossible to get off. It is also perfect for making lines of glitter and comes in a variety of widths. A must have for me!

I use to use the "red tape" until I discovered Scor-tape. Now, I won't use the "red tape" any longer. I love Scor-tape. It is cheaper than the red tape, easier to use, can be torn by hand, holds like crazy and lasts forever!

It doesn't appeal to me very much, but I'm not into using glitter other than the occasional dot of stickles.
Everytime I see it used in a video, the person has to fuss with it quite a bit to pull off the backing once it is stuck down. THEN, they have this static-y red strip of plastic to get off their fingers.
It would drive me nuts! I already wish someone would invent pop-dots that don't need tiny bits of waxy-paper picked off each and every dot used!

Can Scor-Tape be bought at stores like M's, J's or A's? I got hooked on someone's YouTube channel and she was making these mini albums. I was watching her use the Scor-Tape and I liked you could tear it by hand and not use scissors. |

I just bought a "super pack" of adhesive from American Crafts that had a roll of "super sticky red tape" in it. I wonder if that's the same stuff?
BTW, this was 14.99 at Tuesday Morning and had 2 tape runners, 4 refills, 2 rolls of double sided tape,1/4" and 1/2" one roll of red super sticky, and 2 full packages of dimensional dots and squares.
The packaging said it was good for heavy embellishments. |

The red line tape can also be heat embossed. Put a line of tape down, sprinkle with embossing powder and use the heat gun.

Also good for micro beads.
I think the bigger sheets of it can be die cut with punches or like a Big Kick (probably not with electronic machines). |

I don't know if this well help anyone but Sticky Tape is actually Automotive Tape. Automotive Tape usually has the black liner instead of red. My DH has even used my red line sticky tape when he ran out of automotive tape. If you have a car guy in your life he might have some on hand so you can try before you buy. |

I've embossed with the redline tape - it is heat resistant. I covered the sides of a homemade picture frame and embossed them with gold embossing powder.
