My group is getting together and we need ideas for a main dish for our potluck lunch. In the past we have done baked potato bar (my fave), pizza, sandwiches, fried chicken, bbq burgers.

What do you like to eat during a day-long crop?

I'm taking Tuscano soup and bread to my retreat in February. I'll make it ahead of time and keep it warm there in a crock pot so people can eat when they're ready.

What about a taco bar? Everyone could build their own.

I always like italian - lasagna or spaghetti with some bread. Filling and easy.

My choice is to not take it personally - people have opinions. Particularly people here.-Peabay 12/29/11
I know this is assuming, but I'm really starting to think you are one of those "entitled" peas - Dalayney 4/2/12

*Crock pot-anything that will cook in one
*Around the World-food from different countries
*soup, salad (bar), sandwich-great for winter (SOUP)
*taco bar
*Breakfast for dinner (this a favorite of our group)
*Italian (hands down...always a winner as stated)
*YOUR (scrappers favorite) pot luck item-(this is always above and beyond good)
*pizza with salad
*Summer: cold meals-pasta salads for example, picnic-chicken
*colors: Winter-foods that are blue, red and pink for Feb. foods that are pink and red, green for March...etc. This makes it fun.
