I typically do store bought because the boy always wants things like Fun Dip, but I love handmade Valentines and am planning something different this year for the teenager.

What about you? What are you planning on creating?

Another fun holiday we don't celebrate in Australia. It's usually just couples who sometimes get each other a present or go out to dinner. So I'll probably make my fiance a card but that will be about it.

We usually just hand out Valentines within the family, but CP Fourteen is soooo cute that I'm going to make some for my friends.

For my girls I will probably buy them along with some candy or small lego set.....My DD's will be having a" Valentine Card making Party" with a few friends this Friday since we have no school so after the mess that will create and the help I am sure to be giving them I will be "valentinied out" it will be fun though and I am hoping they will get them all done and be ahead of the game instead of finishing them last minute this year...

I think I might actually make some for my friends this year, which I have NEVER done before. I'm usually pretty bah humbug about Valentine's day, but it would be a good excuse to get to play with some pink paper - I only have a boy, so it's usually blues. Lol. And, I do have a few Archiver's coupons, so how could I not, right?

Store bought - DD is insistent on Disney's Merida (from Brave) (which I haven't seen anything scrap related to Merida yet).

I also don't have the time to make them

I plan on making cards for my kids.

If I get around to it and have the time, I may make treat boxes for my youngest daughters class but they are in 8th grade so they don't really do anything at school. If she brings them in, it is like a bonus to them!

I found a thing on pinterest for my boy. Star Wars! He is ecstatic! The boy LOVES Star Wars. My almost 15 yr old doesn't want anything to do with Valentines. I make my DH a card.. have for the past couple of years. That is the extent of our V-day. We don't do anything. LOL He isn't into that "made up holiday" as he calls it.

I bought the CP Fourteen line specifically to make cards for my family. It's the only way to justify buying it because I generally don't scrap Valentine's day.

So handmade cards and a little candy and cupcakes for DH and my kids. I also make my mom a card.

Seeing as DH is the only recipient of my valentine's I imagine I will make handmade like I do most years. The stamping board's Winterfest starts Feb. 9, so I may end up with a Valentine during its first five days, who knows?

I'm thinking I might have to make/send a few Valentines this year. I usually just make a card for the Hubs and call it good but I've bought SO MUCH Valentines paper this year that it might be a good time to do a little random act of cuteness and send some to a few friends who wouldn't be expecting something.

I didn't know v day was so big in US. We in the UK tend to just give cards to partners. And hang my head in shame I buy

Homemade (and cheaper than store bought!)
I saw an idea online where you take a picture of your kid like they're holding something out, once the photo is printed, you take the picture, cut it around the hand and insert a lollipop.
image from: http://domesblissity.blogspot.com/2012/01/pinning-singing-valentines-day-for-kids.html
Cost breakdown:
2 packages of balloons (1 red, 1 pink) $1 each (to make a cute and colorful background)
5 lollipop bouquets (5 lollipops each) $1 each
Photo Printing (.13 at Sam's Club, but I had a coupon) FREE
Total: $7

I usually don't make Valentine's Day cards because DS likes giving the ones with candy. And I'm sorry, but I wouldn't put all that effort into it for kids who honestly don't really appreciate it. However, there is just so much darn cute paper out this year that I'm going to make card for close family and friends. In fact, I went to Archiver's today and bought all my supplies. Unfortunately for my wallet, they also had all the MME's Boy Crazy line that I just had to have, too. Lol

I just finished making all my V cards. I have many friends and family to whom I send them! I used an AC 6x6 paper pad that I got at Target and also some K and CO paper. They were so fun to make. Now I really need to buckle down and make some LO's!!!
