I saw this on an Archiver's email and wondered if anyone tried it to make epoxy embellishments yet?

They are cute but I think that the epoxy shapes need a lot more adhesive. By the time I finish my page my epoxy shape has already fallen off but the paper punch shape is still attached to the layout because I normally use a glue for that. So now I punch the shape and glue it to the epoxy shape with glossy accents then I Attach it to my layout with a glue dot. |

I love those things. I haven't had any issues with them falling off. I originally got them for my granddaughter to make necklaces. I missed As 40% sale which bummed me because I need more of the epoxy shapes. |

I have avoided it so far because I am worried that the epoxy will yellow over time. |

The shapes weren't on sale anyway. Just the tool.
I bought this after I made one of the necklaces there. I got the tool and 2 packages of the circle shapes. I haven't opened them yet though and now I'm wondering if I should take it back. I have the button making one, and so far the buttons I've made with it aren't falling off. Are the epoxy shapes different?

There is a significant difference between the plastic button and the epoxy as far as adhesives. The button adhesive is better. I don't ever recall adding glossy accent or them falling off. |

Since you have one already and have used it, would you recommend I keep the one I bought or should I return it? Are you sorry you got it? It's not cheap, so if it's a pain or not a good value, I'd rather take it back, however, if you love it, I'll keep it.

I have all of them and just ordered the new hexagon one. I love them! I get the bubble caps wholesale through my business and I occasionally use free printables to make my own "flair"

I have the one inch circle, but I use the amazon generic epoxy circles with it. Haven't had problems with those. I also bought the 1/2 inch epoxy circles online and I was going to try using my regular 1/2 inch punch and just dropping the epoxy circle on top, if it's fairly easy to line up then I'll probably skip buying the actual punch. $20 for a circle punch doesn't seem a great value to me.

I like these tools -- I only have a button one, and a couple of the circle ones. My understanding about adhesive is that it is very tricky -- the atmosphere of any given location has an effect on it (humidity, heat, chemicals in the air, etc.) and it's very difficult to produce an adhesive that it universally successful. If you're having trouble with the Epiphany Crafts adhesive, you might try another one, as another poster has done.
