i noticed that there is a check box to mark your project in the gallery as private
why wld you need it if you dont want ppl to see it you just dont upload it
am i missing something?
just curious

i almost hit it accidently and had to read it a few times and say but why?

I thought the same thing. If you want to keep it private then don't upload it. Kind of a no-brainer.

There were a few responses on the other thread, here are a few that were mentioned -

if you have a layout pubbed and need to take it down from viewing, you can just make it private without losing all the comments etc, then easily uncheck later.

feedback or work for contests that you don't want others to see yet, or older work can be marked private kind of to keep your gallery fresh, but if someone wants to see an older one, you can either uncheck or give a password to the album
