i noticed that there is a check box to mark your project in the gallery as private
why wld you need it if you dont want ppl to see it you just dont upload it
am i missing something?
just curious
i almost hit it accidently and had to read it a few times and say but why? |

I don't know but I was thinking that if you wanted to do a challenge and didn't want to make it public? That's the reason I came up with yesterday. |

Sometimes I'll upload a layout and mark it private because it's going to be published. Once the publication comes out, I can just uncheck the box and it will appear in my gallery. I add layouts to my gallery as I finish and photo them and this way I won't forget to add something.  |

Back in the HOF and MMM days Peas used to upload private layouts/albums and then share with their friends for feedback, etc. That way you could have an easy way to share your work with just the people you wanted to see it.

you can use it with private albums that only friends or other dt members can view, or for publication after it was uploaded, just had to hit private without having to upload it again and lose all your comments etc.
Or if you're like me and wanted to hide all your old layouts without pulling them down - so if someone wants to see it, you can just mark it public again or give them your password for the album. |
