The winner of Feb. week 1 is
summerbellies !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please peamail me youe name and address! Congrats!!
Hello Scrappers! Welcome to the FIRST set of scrapping challenges for February!!.
I've decided to host a weekly challenge thread here at Two Peas. The more you play, the more chances you have to win a small scrapping goody from me and the more pages you will get done!
Please link up your creation in this thread for a chance to win and I will also have a challenge box you can check during the upload process.
Look for **Stash Busters Challenge**
**You can combine all these prompts. Each prompt you use is good for one chance to win...so use 3 prompts on one layout = 3 chances to win!***
**********************************************************************
Deadline for these challenges are MONDAY February 4th by 11:59 pm PST
*************************************************************************
Prompt Number One
Use kraft cardstock as the background of your layout. It just feels good!
Technically--this background is tan but it's too cute not to count!
I love this layout by Megan Klauer. Or this one by Geralyn Sy
Prompt Number Two
Buttons and brads! Do you have a ton of each of these? I know I do! I saw this post on Write Click Scrapbook and thought it would make a great challenge! Some great ideas and pages! LINK TO POST
Prompt Number Three
Use some scraps on a layout or a card. Dig through your scrap bin and pick at least 2 pieces of patterned paper that you love the look of. Now use them together. They can be big pieces or little pieces or pieces that you use your circle punch on.
Prompt Number Four
Use THIS sketch from October 2012 Pagemaps
sample page from Nicole Nowosad
You could combine all the prompts into this one easily!
Prompt Number Five
Complete any of the challenges here at Two Peas. I keep this prompt permanently because you get a chance to win a prize from the site also!

Love these prompts.
Kraft is such a versatile background that I frequently overlook.

Thanks Marianne- these are so great! I hope I can one day figure out how to make a LO fit more than one prompt lol...
I might not be able to play very much this week as this morning Dh and I awoke to our entire house flooded by a burst pipe in the kids bathroom.
So... I'm staying at my grandmother in laws but did drag a lot of my stuff with me so let's see how much I get done over here and between insurance claims and ripping out carpeting.... |
After a five year break, I'm back baby!!! Now help Bellies get her Groove back....

This was a fun way to crack open some stuff I just got in the mail today!
This should meet prompts 1, 2, 3, and 4. It's on a Kraft background (which is new for me - I really have to dig to find one!), uses scraps, has a button, and followed the sketch.
Funny story about buttons - I originally put one in the "O" section of the "hello" tag. Totally thought it was cute, until I noticed that made it look like it said "HELL." Had to do some salvaging there, since the paper ripped when I took off the button!
Here it is:

Summerbellies, I am SO so sorry! Our house flooded in 2004 and it was a nightmare - got every room but one (which had photo albums on the floor, so thank goodness for that at least!). Our insurance didn't cover it and we're still paying it off. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Good luck! |

Oh no Tinkgumby!! That's awful..
I'm praying the insurance will and should pay most of it- we had to pay for the plumber but it would be nothing compared to how much we would have to do.

I got one done...I took yesterday off work with the intention of scrapping and then POW no school...I just couldn't get in a groove with the teens at home, but I did manage to get one LO done. Actually I did it twice ...The first one was such a hot mess that I cut the paperweaving off and startd over, the second try was more simple and much easier to look at.
Prompt 1:Kraft
Prompt 2:Buttons
Prompt 5: Scrap YOur Stash from last Thurs(Paige Evans)

ETA: I added more photos of the facing page in the page protector...just because I actually loved how it turned out! |

Marianne - thanks again for so many wonderful prompts. I really enjoy all your challenges. I'm so glad I found your thread.
I've been so busy at work I haven't had a chance to scrap yet this week but these look great! Maybe I'll be able to get some stuff done since I'm off for the rest of the week.
Jan - I just loved your "I destroyed" layout. Had me laughing (although I am sorry so many things were chewed up). I feel grateful our dog is not a chewer. But he has jumped the wall into our neighbors yard and left a "gift" once or twice.

sassiescrapper, yeah that's just the short list. She was a rescue and has separation anxiety and acts out when I leave her other than to go to work (she has settled in to that.) I have a companion page that I will be doing on all the things she has eaten - like a whole loaf of whole wheat bread (except the crusts). Seriously, her stomach is the size of a walnut. |

Jan - ours is a rescue as well. He has separation anxiety as well. Whenever he jumps the wall, it's because we're not home and it's windy or there's thunder. Our poor babies. Can't wait to see your companion page.

I always feel so bad because it seems I can't get to this thread until the weekend. You ladies never cease to amaze me. I'll spend some time tonight leaving comments.
Last night and this morning I worked on Snow Day. I used prompts 1, 4, and 5. I started with the kraft cardstock. Then I used that wonderful sketch which helped me pick out my photo and papers. When I was all done, I used the same materials for a card for the Seeing Double challenge.
