ok, I'm breaking down and finally want to get this. I'm ready to take my cricut to the next level (LOL) I know I am soooo behind....anyway, where can I get the software for cheap?

You cannot use SCAL with Cricut

Unless you bought the SCAL before ProvoCraft stopped its use on SCAL you are out of luck for using with a Cricut. I think it was about a year and half ago.

What????? Whoa, I am really out of the loop! So what software can I connect my Cricut & computer so I don't have to buy cartridges?

You'll have to get a different cutter. Before you do, I suggest you look into the Makes the Cut! Program. You used to be able to cut with your cricut with this program too. Provo put a block on it as well. I think it's awesome and easy to use.

so I don't have to buy cartridges


With Cricut Craft Room you still need to buy the cartridges or designs from Provo Craft to cut with your Cricut. I don't think it is an open system software.

Oh yes. You are right. I misunderstood. I thought she wanted to link her carts. Totally skipped the 'buy' cartridges part. My fault. Sorry!
