Hello Peas,
Has anyone ordered the layflat books from shutterfly or snapfish?
DD looking at these for her wedding album. Speaking of snapfish: pretty upset about this, we uploaded wedding pics through piccasa from the thumbdrive we purchased from the professional photog. But, snapfish made me lower the pixel file on all pics. I printed pictures they were ok. But, now as I begin to make book-from the pics i uploaded warning low resolution comes up. But, walmart, walgreens, costco and shutterfly will all accept the original file size from the photog. I even tried to upload a couple original size again to snapfish to see if i had done something wrong before, but nope snapfish wants me to reduce the file size. Any peas thoughts??

I can't answer on the lay flat photo books.

As far as snapfish uploading and not sure if you tried this already or not

But when you go to upload there is an upload options box that allows you to choose fast upload where they reduce your file size or original size.

Not quite sure why you would be getting the low resolution warning as usually when choosing the fast option is good for 4x6's and photobooks - unless you are trying to make a picture take up most of the page which is probably the problem depending on the size book you are making.

I would do a chat with snapfish and see what they have to say.

Good luck!

gosh in regards to the snapfish problem I see that when I go directly through snapfish and not through Picassa a bit different explanation on resolution. Makes me mad though since snapfish must partner with picassa and yet no explanation, just would not accept with that high resolution and pop up said to downsize the size of the file. I printed 700 pictures that snapfish pop up told me to downsized the file. I would have rather my 700 photos been with the original resolution!!

Have you looked at Blurb or MPix? The quality is so much nicer than Shutterfly. Absolutely gorgeous. You won't have to downsize your images either which would be a shame for professional wedding photos.
