I have both, the smaller base Tonic guillotine and the ProCision and there is no comparison, they are both good but the ProCision is the best trimmer I've ever used. However, if you don't have a lot of space or want a desktop trimmer that is not portable, the tonic is very light and easier to move around. I hope that helps. |

Can you see exactly where you're cutting on the Procision? I use printables a lot so I have to line up the cut perfectly with the edge of the printed item and it's really hard to do that with the Tonic (I may have to return it).
I'm watching this thread for this very reason. I was really disappointed when I realized how difficult it was to do perfect cuts on the Tonic. |

I have this same question. Seems like the Procision is more difficult to find. |

The ProCision allows you to see very clearly, I did a review of it on my youtube channel a few days ago and I noticed that Jennifer McQuire did a (better) review this morning on her channel if you want to take a look. You can get the ProCision at Joanns now and the cheapest you can get it online is at scrapbooking-warehouse.com I hope that helps. |

Thanks, I will check out my J's. I have really been on the fence between these two and I almost got the Tonic today due to the cost difference. I'll look at Jennifer McGuire's review. I think deep down inside I would rather have the Procision. |

I get perfect cuts with my Tonic just line the paper up with the groove and slice. I love that thing, but I am thinking about adding a Procision. I like my fiskars surecut for the 1/4" increments and I am thinking the surecut would give me that but in a better cutter. |

Thanks for the review. If money were no object I'd love to buy the Procision. Even after a 40% off coupon at Joann's it's too expensive for my current budget. But I'd still love to have one!

Thanks Kat! So you were showing where it would cut and it seemed like the end of the plastic guard is exactly where it'd cut so you'd be able to tell, did I get that right?
That is correct It's great! I just cut cd spine labels from plain paper and it let me cut them exact and thin. I love that thing! |
