I don't go to crops anymore, but when I did, I sure wished people would silence their phones. At home, I do put mine on vibrate if I am scrapping late at night when others are sleeping.I find it can be a distraction when it constantly goes off while I am working on a project. |

My cell phone is pretty much always silenced. I have a friend whose phone plays a loud song every time she gets a text, which is often. SO annoying!

I don't silence mine, but I do turn down the ringer. |

I have children at home with a babysitter. No way would I silence my phone or turn it down low. In the case the sitter needs to call me I don't want to miss the call. |

I don't go to crops but if I did I probably wouldn't. Maybe after the first call, if I got one, I'd turn it down. We don't text (actually, we have it blocked) so that wouldn't be an issue.
At home, it sits in my pocketbook which is in the LR so I may or may not even hear it. My phone's ring is a voice announcement followed by the bubble tone. My husband has a really loud obnoxious one, it's the old phone ring tone. |

I would probably turn it down for a crop, but not off. I would worry that one of the kids needed to call me. I tell them (all) not to call me unless they really need me.

I always step away when or if I get a call in any kind of public setting. I absolutely can't stand to hear someone gabber on and on, so at a crop, it would irritate me to have someone take a long, chatty call.
I would turn it down, but not off, and step away if I got a call

I turn the volume down when I'm at crops, but I never turn it off. I want to be available if my daughter or husband needs to get a hold of me. I usually turn the volume down really low and then keep the phone out on the table so I'll hear it if it rings at a crop.
When I'm crafting at home I leave my cell phone at it's normal volume and in the room with me. I don't find it a distraction. |

It's turned down and on the table at crops, and I step away if someone calls. At home I leave it near me because I use it to play music while I scrap. |

My cell phone is my home phone so I never turn it all the way off. I'll turn it on silent if I'm somewhere where it would be rude to have it go off but then it's sitting next to me so I'll know it's "ringing" and I can step away if I need to take the call. |

My husband is getting better at remembering to turn his down if we're in a restaurant but he does always take the call elsewhere.
One day we were at a Chinese restaurant we frequent, and honest-to-God I was thisclose to going over and snatching a phone out of a woman's hand. |

No home phone here either, I only have my cell so the ringer is always on at home. I leave it on at crops. I really don't spend much time on my phone and don't get all that many calls. I want my family to be able to get a hold of me when I'm away. If I do get a call when I'm out, I step outside or away from people. I think it's so rude when you're out and someone next to you is chatting away on the phone. Really, when I'm at dinner I don't want to hear half of your conversation, I want to hear the people I'm with. I only turn off the ringer when I'm somewhere it would be inappropriate to have my phone ring like a movie, a meeting, the library, my doctor's appointment, church, etc.

I haven't had a land line for the past 10 years now, and the only time I silence my cell is when I go to work or go somewhere that needs quiet (e.g. movies, library...). Hearing my phone chirp during scrap time doesn't bother me at all. I like a little distraction every now and then. |
