I thought it wasn't coming out until later? Maybe I'm confused with some other releases that was posted in the same thread.
I'm waiting for it to come to the box stores. If it doesn't - oh well, I don't 'need' it anyway. |

Thanks. I know about all of the preorders but was hoping to find it in stock. I know that Scrapbook.com and ACOT ran out within hours. I think frantic stamper had it too, and ran out. I think it might be on HSN on the 12th so I'll watch for it there. |

Here's a helpful video that shows how the measurements aren't all accurate.

There are some small issues with the board, but even the people at the review site said they're easily overcome. A few people at split coast have received and tried the board and posted tips for using it. So far they are all absolutely thrilled with it. The main issue is the size-you can't do a full score for bigger size envelopes so the measurements can be off, but there's a way to do it so that they come out right. But it's only for bigger envelopes and I don't think I make very many bigger cards anyway. There is a wrong measurement on the chart for one common size but people have posted what measurement to use so I can just note that on the board itself. |

Yes, the issues can be easily overcome; I'm just really surprised this made it past QC with so many faults. Did they not test the product by making sample envelopes in all of the sizes?
Seems like lack of/poor QC is a given in manufacturing these days.
That said, I am not cancelling my order at ACOT. With the points I had saved, I'm only paying $14.99; I don't mind waiting, and maybe WRMK will do something in the meanwhile. |

They have released a new chart of measurements. 4.25 x 5.5 is not on the list but it's easily made by using the in-between measurement, I guess. I personally like my envelopes a touch big so I think with some experimenting I can get the size I want without worrying too much about the chart. Here's the link.

Just wanted to post that I got my envelope maker and love it so far. I had 6 cards to mail this morning and it took me maybe 10 minutes at most to make all 6 envelopes. That included choosing papers and cutting the squares. A member of SCS posted that she used an 8 x 8 square of paper and the 3-1/2" mark and came out with perfect A2 size cards and those measurements worked out perfectly for me. The cards were easier to get into the envelopes too, because they (the envelopes) were just a tiny bit larger than store bought ones. I'm super duper happy with this. |

From what I understand, WRMK initially only had manufactured 1500 of these, not sure what the response would be at CHAW....but it won the best new tool of CHAW award and the orders went through the roof. So the folks that got thier order in to them early at CHA got their allotment shipped out of the initial 1500. All other orders are in the next batch and are expected to ship in April/May.
It was discovered within that first shipment that there were some "typos" in the cutting guide on the first 1500 and WRMK has a free download that you can print, laminate and cover over the incorrect guide. They are also sending out replacement sticker cutting guides to all of their customers that purhcased the initial 1500.
The online store that I purchased mine on has already informed all of us that as soon as they get this replacement sticker, they are going to send it to all who purhcased one from them.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the functionality of the board...it punches and scores beautifully!
With all that being said, I my WRMK envie punch board!! I have been an envie making fool this past week.

This sounds cool. I've made custom envelopes before but it was kind of a pain. Does this tool have a big "footprint"? Unfortunately I don't have a lot of extra space.

Just a little tip....
I know someone on another board did not like that the envelopes are on the bigger side.
After reading the MS score board - I think it's to accomodate lumpy cards. If you prefer a tighter fit (for flat cards), MS recommends taking 1/8" off the length and width of your paper measurements. (You still score at the same spots.)
I don't have the punch board to experiment with but I imagine it would work about the same if you want to give it a try. |

The one I got from HSN has the original chart on it. I wonder if HSN customers will be getting new stickers.

It's about 7.5" x 10.5" and about 1.75" tall where the punch is. |

I was lucky enough to get from the first Cherry on Top order and I've got mine now and tell you ladies you will absolutely love it. It's the best tool I ever bought. I would suggest that if heavy embellish your cards make sure you make the next bigger size then your card size. But, the maker is amazing love love love it. |

I just got an email from scrapbookpal.com that they have these in stock. I wonder if they are the corrected ones, or do you still have to download the new measurements? |

I have seen it at a small family owned local store near me and they have the corrected size chart. For those who wants to know, the way to tell if it is the updated size is to check and see if 3x3 calls out for 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 instead of 5 3/8. Hope that helps.

I got one at my lss yesterday. It has the right measurments for the 3x3 card so it must be a new one.
I tried it last night and made two envelopes. I have to tell you that it took me longer to get the thing out of the package then it took me to make 2 envelopes! I made an A2 and a 6x6, those are my most needed sizes. They are both perfect! If I could make no more sizes with this thing it would be worth it for that! Anything other envelope tool I've ever tried to use did not make it so perfect. The corners were always off and just looked sloppy to me. This punch makes them perfect!!! |
